Annoying Lessons (Rin x Reader)

Rin's POV

Sousuke and I were walking to the public pool to get some practice in. Why you ask? Because for some 'technical' reason the pool was filled with algae. I have no idea how it happened, as the pool was both inside and it was completely clean the day before, and there was no way that algae could grow that fast. In fact, it shouldn't have grown at all. I assume that it was some sort of prank that some lazy club members pulled in order to get out of swim practice, and if so, they had gotten their wish.

Despite the fact that everyone else in the swim club were relaxing and enjoying the day off, I couldn't stand the thought of not practicing. I wasn't going to reach my goal by taking a day off! So, I decided I would go to the public pool to get at least a little bit of practice time in. Sousuke (A/N: I typed Sousuke in, and it autocorrected to Susie. I am dying! XD) decided to come with me since he didn't want to miss a day of practice either. We were inside the place now, taking off our clothes to get ready to enter the pool, and I was still angry at the fact that I had to come swim at a public pool. I hated public pools because of a certain reason.

I heard some gasps and squeals from a few chairs away as I took off my shirt and sighed. This was part of the reason I hated coming here. I tried to ignore the fangirling girls as I walked by them to go to the lanes on the opposite side of the pool. The fact that they were fangirling over me made me angry, but it made me even angrier to think that my sister, Gou, was also that type of girl.

I sighed once I reached the swim lanes, hoping that once I got in the girls would just go back to gossiping or whatever they were doing. Before I got in, I turned to see if Sousuke was behind me, no doubt in my mind that he too would be fangirled over. Sure enough, I saw a bunch of girls starring at us in awe, but what I was really surprised at was that there was a girl who was standing in front of him, smiling and talking to him. I was even more surprised to see him smile and talk back to her. Sousuke wasn't the type to flirt with some random girl, or even really talk to any girl. I just shrugged it off and hopped into the lane, starting to warm up. After doing a few laps of freestyle, I decided to practice some butterfly so that I could perfect my technique. Despite what everyone said, my butterfly was no where near perfect. I had barely even done one lap when a group of three girls stopped me. I took off my goggles and looked at the three with a pissed expression. I had to restrain from rolling my eyes, they all looked so fake.

"Hi there," the one who I figured was the leader said.

They other two said hello too, and I knew it would be rude if I just kept swimming, and as much as I wanted to, I knew that they would just keep bugging me if I didn't respond.

"Hey." I simply said, before moving to put my goggles back on. The girls seemed to realize that I had no intention of continuing the conversation, so the leader frantically spoke.

"We were watching you swim, and you are a really good swimmer!"

"Thanks."

Sure I was being kind of rude, but I didn't want to deal with them, so I was hoping they would take my rude gestures as a sign that I didn't want to talk to them. But, just my luck, they didn't take a hint. Not only were they fake, but they were stupid as well.

"We were wondering if you could teach us that stroke you were just doing." One of the other girls spoke.

"Yeah, it looked really cool!" Said the other.

That's the other reason why I hate public pools. I was going to deny them, because I did not want to teach them under any circumstances, but the way the leader was looking at me, I knew that if I denied them, it would only cause me more trouble. She so happened to be glaring at me, despite the cheerful look on her face, as if to say that if I didn't say yes, she would do everything in her power to get me in trouble for something.
