{CHRISTMAS SPECIAL} Mall Trip (Gou x female!reader)

Okay so I'm actually posting a story, woohoo!!!!!! This is meant to be a x female!reader, but I don't ever really specify the gender, so it imagine it however you want. I promise this won't be angst like last year's Christmas special. Enjoy!!!

Your POV

It was that busy time of year again. That time of year when all of the terrible creatures resurface from their burrows after a year in hiding. They were out to wreak havoc on the world once more. The Christmas shoppers. You loved going shopping for gifts for your friends and family, but didn't like to be near any of the monsters called Christmas shoppers. That's why this year you decided to do all of your Christmas shopping online.

You were currently sitting in your room, finalizing your purchases and waiting for your girlfriend, Gou, to come over. You heard the thumps of feet running up the stairs and quickly minimized the tab, not wanting her to see your present for her.

"(Y/n)!" Gou cheered as she ran into your room and hugged you.

It was a bit of an awkward hug, seeing as you were sitting and she was standing, but that didn't matter to either of you. Almost nothing was awkward between the two of you, that just how close you two had become.

"Hey Gou," You responded, being embraced by the girl you love. "Ready to spend the day together?"

She nodded and let go grab a chair. You two sat across from each other, discussing all of the tests, projects, and essays you had done before Christmas break finally arrived and then about the holiday break itself. As she talked about Christmas, Gou's eyes lit up. You admired the cheerful girl as she kept talking, almost seemingly stopping to take a breath.

"And I wasn't sure if I should get the purple or the blue one so I just got both," she trailed off, the light in her eyes dulling.

You thought she was done with her Christmas rant, but the sudden returning glint in her eyes told you otherwise.

"I just had a great idea!" Gou exclaimed, jumping off of her chair.

"What?" You were curious why she was so excited.

"Let's go Christmas shopping!"

"What? No!" You stuttered.

"Why not? I haven't bought all of my gifts yet, and I'm pretty sure you haven't either," she whined. "Besides, it'll be fun."

It would not be fun, that's why. It was Saturday, a few days before Christmas, and currently just before noon. That meant the normally wacko Christmas shoppers would be even ruder and crazier, if that was even possible. It was indeed possible.

"I don't know. I mean, we were planning to hang out and relax all day."

"Please, (Y/n). I really want to do this with you now! It'll be a fun way to spend the day together!"

You frantically searched for a reason not to go, but no realistic sounding excuse popped into your mind. You took a quick glance at your girlfriend. Gou looked overjoyed, and as much as you didn't want to go, you would do anything to make your girlfriend happy.

"Alright, I guess," you complied. "Why did you leave all of your Christmas shopping for today anyways?"

Gou cheered and ushered you out of the house, grabbing both of your jackets on the way out. This wouldn't be the worst thing.
