Royalty (Makoto x Reader)

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted a one-shot recently, but school started, so that has taken up most of my day and I have a two hour swim practice everyday after school. I was working on this one-shot on Tuesday and Wednesday last week because I didn't have a lot of time and on top of that, on Thursday, I had a swim meet. I got 5th place (out of 6) in my 50m free! It's pretty good for my first meet. I also swam in a 200m medley relay, a 200m free relay and a 400m free relay. It was really fun.

Now it's the next week and between juggling school and swim, I haven't had a whole lot of time to write this and by the time I finish my homework, I am to dead to write and would just rather stare mindlessly at the TV.

Today you were spending the whole day with your cousin. Your aunt and uncle were having a night out with their friends because they had been spending so much time with their daughter. So, they left her in your care, meaning you were babysitting your six year old cousin for the night.

Since it was just you two, Makoto had work and other things keeping him away from your apartment, you two decided it was a girls night in. You had asked Makoto what would keep him out later than his work hours, but he didn't want to tell you. You didn't push him because you knew you could trust him. So far, you and your cousin have done lots of fun activites, such as playing games, making blanket forts, playing dress up and watching movies.

You were currently listening to her tell you about a new game she came up with. It was called The Princess and the Prince. One of you would play the part of the princess and the other the prince. Of course your little cousin wanted to be the princess, like almost any other girl her age would want to be. This made you the prince, which you were completely fine with. Jin, your cousin, had ran into your room after she finished explaining the game and grabbed one of your dresses and a pair of fancy shoes. You thought she looked so adorable in it, that you didn't care if she ruined the outfit. You were playing the game for a little bit when Jin sighed.

"What is it my princess?" You said, making her giggle.

"You just aren't manly enough to be a prince," she pouted, making you want to squeal at her cuteness.

"Well, sorry I'm not. I'd have Makoto play the part, but he's out right now."

Your cousin thought for a few moments before squealing, "You gave me an idea!"

She grabbed your wrist and ran as fast as she could in your shoes, they were way to big on her, towards Makoto and your room. Once she got there, she yanked open your closet and started to pull on one if Makoto's shirts. You helped her get it down as she ran over to your dresser chanting the word pants. You chuckled at her action and went over to the dresser and pulled out a pair of his sweat pants. Next, being the bossy pants she is, she ordered you to put on his clothes.

You turned red. Sure you always thought it might be nice to wear his clothes before, but you never actually did it. You threw on the shirt and pants, taking off your own in the process. The shirt was huge on you, and his pants were even bigger. You had to roll the waist band over a few times to have the crotch actually come near where it was supposed to be, but even so the pant legs still reached the ground.

For the next few hours you two played the game, you now looking "manlier" because of Makoto's clothes. You were overall enjoying the game, and Makoto's clothing. They were so comfy that you were definitely going to make a point of wearing them again, and completing Makoto on his sense of style.

Makoto's POV

I unlocked the door to (Y/N) and my apartment. I was expecting to be bombarded by her adorable cousin, Jin because (Y/N) told me that she was babysitting her tonight, but I wasn't. Instead, when I walked inside I was greeted by silence, except for the soft sound of the TV coming from the living room. I made my way there.

When I arrived in the living room, I saw the TV on some random show with the volume turned up very loud. (Y/N)'s going to go deaf soon if she doesn't learn to turn the volume down when she watches TV.

I was about to tell (Y/N) to turn down the TV from now on, but when I turned to the couch, where I was sure she would be, I found the two girls asleep. I smiled. They were just too cute. Jin was dressed up in short green orca patterned dress, that was really long on her, that I had gotten (Y/N) for her last birthday. She loves orcas and green is one of her favorite colors, plus I though it would look cute on her. She was also wearing a pink boa and a plastic tiara.

She was curled up in (Y/N)'s arms. I looked at (Y/N) and chuckled when I looked at her; she was so adorable. I always knew she had the most adorable sleeping face, but I never knew she looked so adorable in my clothes. She was wearing one of my shirts, which was like a dress on her, and some of my sweatpants.

Third Person POV

Makoto turned off the TV and walked over to the couch, kissing both of their foreheads and pulling the blanket that was at the end of the couch over them. He was sad and felt a little bit of guilt for being away all day, but he could tell that you had fun and that it would all be fine. After all, he had a very important reason for being out so late today. He thought about how good you were with kids and that someday you would make a great mother. He walked away, towards his and (Y/N)'s bedroom, fingering the velvet box he had spent all day getting.

Should I make a part 2 for this where Makoto proposes to reader-chan? Or should I create a short story where Mako-chan tries to propose but every time goes wrong, until it finally works? I feel like I should do one of those because this was pretty short and I left you at a cliffhanger... Sort of. Tell me what you think please!!!
