A/N: (I was going to wait until Friday to post this but here you go) This chapter had some sexual content at the end, so I cut it out and now it ends really abruptly and is pretty short, lol. Again, you can read it by going to the "mature" chapters on my profile.

In other news, I can't believe this is already at almost 2k reads after only being up for like a month. That's amazing. As usual, I thank every single person who reads this. It really does mean a lot that people like what I write. PS please vote/comment if you liked it! x

G's POV

I woke up the next morning, realizing I was in Elena's bed. I reached my arm over to the opposite side of the bed, disappointed to find it empty. Sighing, I sat up, running a hand through my hair before glancing at the watch on my wrist. It was nearly 11:30, and I was surprised that Elena hadn't woken me up. As if on queue, the door opened, and she peered in.

"You're awake," she smiled, coming in and closing the door behind her.

I smiled back, rubbing my eyes. "Yeah, why didn't you wake me up though, silly?"

"I figured you needed your sleep, silly," she mocked me.

I chuckled, patting the bed. "Come here."

She walked over, climbing onto the bed. Grabbing her waist, I pulled her onto me, pressing my lips onto hers. "I really did miss you a lot, Lena."

She shook her head, laughing a bit. "You saw me like, two weeks ago."

"I know," I kissed her again, moving my hand under her shirt. "Doesn't mean I didn't miss you. Speaking of which, I hope you didn't forget your promise."

"What promise?"

"That you'd come to Oakland with me," I responded.

"I never promised anything, first of all," she spoke.

"But you said you would," I reminded her.

She groaned in response. "I'd hate to see what Brooke would think of that."

"Have you talked to her at all?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Not really. She asked where you were and I told her that you were sleeping in my bed and she was sort of silent after that."

"I'm sorry if I kind of drove a wedge between you guys. I can go-"

She cut me off abruptly. "No. It's not your fault. For some reason, she just thinks she needs to protect me. It pisses me off that she treats me like a child constantly. On second thought, I think I kind of want to go with you to get away from her for awhile."

I chuckled a bit, running my thumb across her cheek. "You're her friend, and she's just looking out for you. Try not to get too upset about it."

She rolled her eyes. "Since when were you the voice of reason?"

"Funny," I laughed again. "It's-"

I was cut off by a knock on the door.

"Come in," Elena spoke, and the door opened, Brooke standing there. "Hey, Brooke."

"Look," she began. "I just wanted to kind of apologize for the way I've been acting. I guess I've been kind of hostile, but I still mean what I said. I don't necessarily like the idea of you two being together, but I'll tolerate it because you are adults who can make your own decisions and don't need someone to police you."

"Thanks, Brooke, but we... we're not together," Elena responded.

"I figured as much. I just mean whatever the fuck this thing is you guys have going," Brooke said. "Anyways, I have to be at work in about a half hour so that's all I really wanted to say."

"Okay, well I probably won't be home when you get back."

"Why? Ah, you're going with him?"

Elena nodded, and Brooke shook her head. "Alright. Just... be safe, okay? That especially goes for you, G."

I laughed. "Don't worry, Brooke."

"Good. I'll see you guys later," she replied, closing the door behind her.

───────────────

"I cannot believe I'm letting you drag me into this again," Elena groaned, pulling her car out of the apartment parking lot. "Not only that, but I have to be in a car with you for six hours."

I laughed loudly, turning on the radio, trying to find a half-decent station. "Don't you worry, baby. I'll make it worthwhile."

I noticed her roll her eyes. "I will backhand you if you call me baby ever again."

Her reaction caused me to burst into laughter for a second time. "It was sarcastic. Relax."

After driving for a couple of hours, I started to get annoyed. "Can we stop for food or something?"

"Seriously? We've only been driving for two and a half hours. Surely you've experienced longer drives while on tour."

"Well, yeah, but I'm hungry. Please?" I practically begged.

"Fine," she gave in. "I think there's a McDonald's or something like that just up here."

I shrugged indifferently. "Kind of gross, but that works."

After we ordered, she went to pay, but I stopped her. "I'll pay."

"No-"

"You literally ordered fries and a coffee, so stop," I laughed, reaching over her and handing the girl at the window the money. "Don't argue with me."

She exhaled audibly, pulling away after we got our food. "Whatever, it's easier to eat while driving."

We drove in silence while we ate, and after we were finished I spoke up. "I'm bored."

"That's nice."

"Let's play a game."

"What game?"

"How turned on I can make you while you're driving," I responded.

"Touch me and I'll break every one of your goddamn fingers," she warned me.

"Geez, tone it down on the hostility, Lena. I was just playing," I chuckled.

"Can you just tell me where I have to go from here?" she changed the subject. She was so much fun to piss off.

───────────────

After about another three and a half hours of driving, we finally made it back to Oakland. I couldn't have been more eager to make it back up to my apartment, especially after the long car ride. My lips were almost instantly on hers after we made it inside of my apartment, and I felt her smirk.

"I'm proud of you for making it the whole six hours," she giggled as I gripped her waist, pulling her close to me, which caused her to drop her bag on the floor.

"Well, the broken fingers was enough of a deterrent, I guess," I quipped back jokingly.

She shook her head as my mouth moved to her neck.

"How long are you going to stay?" I asked as I slid her shirt over her head.

She shrugged. "I don't know. A few days, tops, I guess."

"But-" I started to complain, but she cut me off.

"I have a life too, G. I can't just stay here forever."

I laughed. "Come on. Sure you can."

She shook her head, pulling my shirt off. "Shut up. You're lucky you're getting a few days."

"Fine," I decided not to push my luck any further. She was right, after all.
