A/N: This is getting redundant, lol. I'm so sorry that updates on this have been really slow, but this story has been really frustrating me. I feel like the last few chapters especially just haven't been as good as they could have been. I really just want it to be the best I can make it, and I don't know if it really has been. I'm going to try my best to be more frequent, but I really don't want this story to become forced so I don't know. In other news, this has hit almost 50k and has over 2k votes! Thank you all for continuing to read, I really do appreciate it. x

I arrived at the party about fifteen minutes later. Scanning the crowds, I tried to find a familiar face to no avail. I didn't really know just how big this "get-together", as Ben had put it, was going to be until I realized I recognized no one there.

"Elena," I heard someone calling my name over the music playing, and I turned around to see Peyton, another friend I had met through modelling.

"Hey," I smiled at her, giving her a hug.

"How are you?" she asked me, releasing her grip. "I heard you just got back from some shoots in The Bay."

"Yeah, I did," I nodded. "It went really well."

"Of course it did," she laughed. "All of your shoots are always amazing. Anyways, did you want to go meet up with the others? They're all excited to see you."

"Sure," I responded, following her through the crowds to where Ben and a few others were standing.

"Elena!" Ben grinned at me, hugging me tightly. "I missed you so much."

I laughed, hugging him back. "I missed you too."

I stood there reacquainting myself with my friends, some of which I hadn't seen in months. It was nice to chat with them and just have some fun.

"You want another?" Ben asked me, gesturing to the tray of shots on the table in front of us.

"Oh, no," I shook my head, chuckling a bit. "I'm good. I need to drive myself home."

"Oh, come on," he laughed as well, nudging me. "One more won't hurt."

I sighed, giving in as I picked one up, downing it as he and the few others who were still around did the same.

"There you go," he grinned before picking up another shot, drinking it as well.

"Slow down," I pushed the tray away from him, giggling a bit. "You're going to have a hell of a hangover."

"Don't remind me," he shook his head, smiling. He suddenly stood up, grabbing my arm. "Come dance with me."

"Oh my god," I burst out laughing, shaking my head. "I do not dance, and you are fucking wasted. No way."

"Please," he whined, sticking out his bottom lip for effect. "It's fun!"

I rolled my eyes, standing up. "Fine."

He began dancing, and I couldn't help but laugh as he almost fell over. He took my hands in his, trying to get me to move with him, stepping on my foot in the process.

"Jesus, I'm sorry," he mumbled, stumbling backward.

"I told you, you're way too drunk for this," I grabbed his arm to stop him from falling.

He shrugged. "Maybe. It's still fun, though."

"Look over here, guys," Peyton laughed, holding up her phone to take a photo.

Ben pulled a goofy face as he wrapped his arms around me, and I just laughed. After a few more minutes, I managed to drag Ben back to a chair.

Once he sat there for a moment, his eyes began to close. "Man, I'm fucked."
