A/N: I'm so, so sorry that this has taken me so long to get put up. I started university a couple weeks ago, and things have been pretty busy. That being said, I'm still going to try to aim for a chapter at least once every two weeks, if not every week. I know how annoying it is when you're reading a story and then the author doesn't update for months (I've done it before, lol), so I'm going to try to keep this story relatively frequent. I don't know how many people are still interested in this, anyways (as the last chapter only got a few votes), but anyways. Thanks for reading. x

We finally arrived at my parents' place just before five o'clock. I sighed, mentally preparing myself for the night ahead of me.

"Relax," G spoke, giving my thigh a light squeeze. "It's gonna go fine, I promise. I'm not going to do anything to embarrass you."

I chuckled, taking the keys out of the ignition. "Well, thanks for the reassurance. Honestly though, this means a lot to me."

He nodded, taking the door handle in his hand. "No problem. I don't mind really as long as I still get laid."

"Of course," I shook my head as I narrowed my eyes at him.

After shooting me a smirk, he got out. He walked around to my side of the car, opening the door.

I rolled my eyes as he put his arm around my waist. "You're overdoing it."

He chuckled as we walked up to the door. "You think so?"

Before I could even knock, the door swung open, my mother standing there. She grinned upon seeing me, throwing her arms around me.

"Elena!" she exclaimed, releasing me a moment later. "I have missed you so much."

"I missed you too, mom," I offered a small smile in return.

"Well, come in," she held the door open and I stepped inside, G following behind.

"Michael!" my mother yelled. "Come here! Elena's here and she actually brought her boyfriend!"

I looked up at G, and I could tell that he was trying not to laugh. I elbowed him lightly as a warning. I heard footsteps coming toward us, my dad coming into view a moment later. "Elena, it's good to see you," he pulled me into a hug.

"You too," I smiled.

"So, who's this?" my dad eyed G.

"This is my boyfriend, Gerald," I responded, and everything about it just felt so wrong saying it out loud. Calling him my boyfriend, saying his actual name... none of it felt right.

"Gerald," my dad reached out to shake his hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Michael, Elena's dad."

"I think he knows that," I muttered.

G chuckled, shaking my dad's hand before my mother's. "It's nice to meet you too."

"Laura," my mother spoke as she shook his hand. "I cannot believe you didn't tell me you had a boyfriend."

I shrugged. "It just never came up, I guess."

"How long have you been dating?" she asked.

"About three months," G cut in, and he looked rather proud of himself for remembering the false information.

"I-" she was cut off by the sound of a horn honking. "Oh, that must be Jayden and Alex!"

She practically ran to the door, swinging it open. Sure enough, in came Jayden, Alex and his family. His wife was carrying a car seat with their newborn baby as their three year old daughter ran up the steps into my mothers' arms.
