"Reasoning"

*Cassie's POV*

He ruined my night.

WHY did I have to see him?

As we were walking into our room, Anna and I placed our luggage in the closet, and I just fell onto the bed, groaning while doing so.

"Well, that was interesting." Anna looked at me, and said with a grin.

"No, it was horrible. I hate him. So much."

"Okay, no offense, but you never told me what really happened. All you told me was that he left. But, if he was leaving to start his career, what's so wrong with that?" Anna seemed confused.

"Yeah, I know. If he had just left for his career, I wouldn't be so pissed."

"Wait, what?" Anna looked up at me.

"He left when he was eighteen. That was in 2004. His band didn't officially start until 2009. He had FIVE years to contact me, Anna. FIVE! And, he never texted, never called... Never did anything to show he even remembered who I was."

"Oh my god. What a DOUCHE!" Anna screamed.

I just looked at her, and let a single tear roll down my cheek.

"He knew everything..." I sighed.

"Sweetie." Anna said sympathetically. She came over and sat by me on the bed.

My eyes started to fill up with overwhelming tears.

"He knew everything. My secrets. That my father left us. That my grandparents died in a car accident when I was sixteen. He knew that I had people leave me all my life. He promised that he would never leave me like most of my family did. He promised!"

Tears started falling and Anna just hugged me.

"He wronged you, Cassie. It's okay to cry. He hurt you."

I cursed myself for letting him get to me.

"Damn it. I don't want to cry over him. He isn't worth it." I said, as I wiped the tears away.

"He's not worth your tears, Cassie. But, it's okay to get the anger out. It's needed in order for you to move on..."

Anna was so good with making me feel better. I honestly don't understand what I would do if she weren't there to tell me everything's okay.

"I think I'm just going to get some sleep early." I said as I walked to the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror, changed my clothes, washed my face, and walked out. I reached the bed, said goodnight to Anna, and turned out the light nearest to my side of the bed.

*Anna's POV*

This son of a bitch.

I watched Cassie wipe her tears, and walk to the bathroom.

When she walked out in her pajamas, and said goodnight to me, I quietly left the room.

I walked downstairs to the front desk.

"May I help you?" The guy behind the counter asked.

"Yes. I need to speak with Kellin Quinn."

He looked at me, and starting shaking his head, assuming I was just some other fan girl.

"I'm sorry, ma'am. I can't do that."

"Just call him, and let him know I'm Cassie's friend. NOW." I projected my voice louder.

He just nodded, as people started to stare. His hands were shaking as he dialed the number.

"Mr. Quinn. I am um... sorry to disturb you but um... A friend of Cassie's needs to... talk to... you, sir."

His worried face faded as he nodded to the voice on the phone.

"Yes sir."

He hung up the phone, scribbled down a number on a piece of paper, and handed it to me.

"Thank you for your time." I smirked.

I looked down at the three digit number on the sheet.

315.

God, he was on the same floor as us.

I rode in the elevator, and slowly but boldly walked to the room, and banged on the door.

A muscular man opened the door.

"Yes?"

"I'm Cassie's friend." I said, annoyed.

Suddenly, he took a picture of me, and slammed the door in my face.

I was shocked. I started banging on the door again.

This time when the door opened, it was the son of a bitch, himself. Kellin.

"Hi. Sorry about that. He needed to show me a picture so I could confirm that you're who you said you were."

"Hmm." I said.

"Please, come in." He gestured to the inside of his room.

I just walked past him, and sat down on the couch. I crossed my legs, and tapped my foot, waiting for his shining presence to behold me.

He walked into the room, looking nervous as hell. He sat down on the couch across from me, and just stared.

I exhaled loudly.

"Okay, making this less awkward for the both of us, I'm just going to make this short and sweet for you, buddy boy."

He just slightly nodded.

"You're an asshole. You don't even deserve to look at her. She cried tonight, do you know that? You KNEW that basically her entire family left her. You promised her that you would never leave her. Yet, you did anyway. And, before you say it was about your DAMN music... You left her in 2004. You're band didn't start until 2009! You had five years to contact her. To let her know she still mattered. AND YOU DIDN'T."

I couldn't even stand to look at him.

Before he even had the chance to speak, I got up and I left.

*Kellin's POV*

After having Jesse scald me for my life choices of leaving Cassie, I wanted to just sleep it all off.

This night was just...

Fucking horrible.

I needed sleep.

Then, the hotel phone starting to ring.

That annoying piece of shit.

"Hello?"

A nervous, shaky voice was on the other line.

"Mr. Quinn. I am um... sorry to disturb you but um... A friend of Cassie's needs to... talk to... you, sir."

What the hell? That girl that told me to fuck off...? What does she want?

But.

If I turn her down, Cassie would know. And she'd hate me even more.

Maybe she just wanted to talk.

"Send her up." I exhaled.

"Yes sir."

Great. Shit's about to go down.

When she got here, she didn't even tell me her name. She basically yelled at me about the past, which I HAD LIVED... Reminding me of shit that I knew I did, making me feel so much worse about everything.

She cried.

Cassie fucking cried.

I did this to her.

It's all my fault.
