"Unbreakable"
Kellin's POV:
I walked towards her, and as I reached her, the smile that she wore had faded. She was scared, nervous to talk to me, and I didn't blame her.
Not one bit.
"Hey, Cass." I smiled.
She just looked at me and waved.
"Can we go somewhere and talk?" I begged.
I needed her to talk to me, to look me in the eyes and forgive me.
She just nodded and turned around and started walking.
I followed her... unsure of where exactly we were going, but as we approached a car, she turned around to look me.
Not knowing that she would suddenly stop, I bumped into her. My arms went around her waist instinctively.
"I'm okay." She claimed as she released herself from my grasp.
"Wow, she talks." I said without thinking.
I'm such a smart ass. And right now was not the time to be one.
"Obviously I talk, Kel. Let me call Anna to tell her where I'm going... Don't leave. I'll be back in a second."
Without giving me time to respond, she brought out her phone and started walking away from me.
The fact that she called me "Kel" made me smile. It told me she still cared enough to remember the ten years we were inseparable, unbreakable.
Before I knew it, Cassie was walking towards me, spinning car keys in her hand. Once she reached the car, she hopped in. And, of course I stood there like a fucking idiot. I didn't want to just assume that I was invited anywhere with her.
She rolled down her window.
"Are you coming...?"
"Yeah, of course."
I got into the car. And of course it was awkward as hell. We didn't talk. The only sound that was heard was her radio playing Jersey by Mayday Parade.
Of course a song about leaving came on. My fucking luck.
Well played, God. Well fucking played.
"Do you remember this place?"
Her voice interrupted my silent thoughts to God, and made me look up.
Oh my God. It was the park. It was our park.
She pulled in, and as the sign saying, "Piedmont Park" came into my view... It brought back so many memories. One in particular.
"Don't ever leave me."
Cassie looked at me with those golden green eyes of hers. The ones that made me forget everything. I was just focused on her. Nothing else.
Her head was on my lap, and as we were on the park bench, I looked down at her and stroked her hair gently.
"Come with me." I smiled.
She smiled back at me, and allowed me to grab her hand and drag her to the front of the park.
I would never get over how our hands perfectly intertwined. Holding it made me feel safe... She was my home. My safe haven.
"Why are we here?" She looked at me in confusion.
We stood in front of the sign saying "Piedmont Park", and I just smiled at her and brought out my knife.
