Chapter 18: First Times

"First Times"

*Cassie's POV*

I looked at him. He was looking ahead at the road with a huge smile on his face. His fingers were tapping the wheel to the beat of the song playing on the radio. He glanced over at me and caught me staring. I kind of blushed, but just laughed it off. Then, he just burst out singing.

"It's just a game that we play and for heaven's sakes, looking for a better way to play it!" He sang out while bobbing his head crazily.

I was just laughing at him but I sang along.

"Life is for keeping score and forever more, stop complaining and start changing it!"

We just ended up laughing the whole way there, singing like idiots to every song that came on.

I looked at Kellin again, and just smiled. He smiled back at me and grabbed my hand and intertwined them, letting them rest on the console between us. His thumb traced circles on the side of my hand and it felt so nice.

I hadn't even noticed that we were pulling into a place until my eyes landed on the sign at the entrance.

"Oh my god, Kellin! You brought us here!?" I screamed like a little girl. I was beyond excited as I saw Lake Lanier Islands. This brought back so many memories of us as kids.

Kellin just laughed and nodded, "Yeah, I thought it'd be a nice surprise."

Once we parked, I hopped out of the car and was waiting anxiously for Kellin to get out.

"Wow, someone's a little over excited." He laughed.

"Shut up!" I poked my tongue out at him. I didn't care if I looked like an idiot. I was so happy. Nothing else mattered.

He reached into the trunk and pulled out a bag. He dug inside and handed me a towel and a bathing suit. It was my bathing suit... the skimpiest one I owned. Anna had made me pack that one to "show off my body" but I had no intentions of wearing it.

"You just had to pick THAT bathing suit, didn't you?" I arched my eyebrow.

He just shrugged and smirked at me.

"It was the first one I found!" He laughed.

"Uh huh. I'm gonna go get changed." I said, and started to turn away towards the outside bathrooms, but he grabbed my waist and pulled me back around. Before I even had a chance to question what the hell he was doing, his lips found mine.

Fireworks were exploding and my heart was pounding. The kiss didn't even last more than a second but it left me speechless. He had only pecked my lips, but it didn't matter. It still felt as if the entire world stopped.

"That was what was supposed to happen last night. Better late than never, right?" He winked, and turned around to go pay for tickets.

And I was still standing in the same spot, too shocked and stunned to move.

*Anna's POV*

Vic had just dropped me off at the hotel to get ready for our date tonight. I was so nervous, that I was shaking the entire time getting ready. I picked out a more casual outfit since he said not to dress too nicely. So I picked out a black tank top with capris. I grabbed some brown sandal heels and my fedora. My hair was wavy and cascaded down my back underneath the hat, and I checked myself in the mirror right when I heard a knock on my door.

I smiled into the mirror and opened the door to see HIM standing there looking like a fucking model. I scanned him from his feet to his eyes, and he was perfect.
