"Surprises, Part 2"
*Kellin's POV*
I looked down at my phone to see her response.
"Sure. But we're going as a group. Invite Anna and Vic."
I sighed, as I went to my contacts, and found Vic's name. I pressed the call button and the speaker phone button.
"Yo, sup, man?" Vic's voice answered.
"Hey, you don't have plans tonight, right?" I asked.
"I was going to see if Anna was free, but what's up man? You sound distressed." He said.
"Oh, good. Um, Cassie wants us all to go to a hockey game tonight. It was supposed to be just the two of us, but now she wants to go in a group. I'll tell you the whole story later, but invite Anna." I said, rushing to get it all out.
"Oh, okay, dude. You'll have to tell me how you fucked up again. I hope it wasn't too bad, Kellin. I like her, and I like her friend even more." He said. I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"I hurt her..." I whispered. I knew that I said I would tell him later, but it was Vic, and for some reason, he always knew how to get the truth out of me.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"We were playing around, and I was tickling her, and the next thing I know... She has bruises all over her stomach from where I had been tickling her." I muttered.
"Dude... It was accident. And maybe she just bruises easily. It's nothing to get so upset over. It wasn't intentional. You're fine, man." He said.
I honestly wasn't so sure. But, Vic did have a point. Cassie just may bruise easily. Maybe I didn't hurt her as badly as I thought.
"Yeah, maybe." I said.
"Alright dude. Get out of this funk, and be the alive and energetic Kellin I know and love. I'll see you soon, yeah?" He asked.
"Of course, man." I said.
"I'm serious, man. Shake it off and live a little. Deuces." He said before hanging up.
I put my phone down, and walked over and grabbed my notebook with two unfinished songs. I flipped to one of them and finished one song with the guilt that I was feeling. I wrote, "Sorry," on the top of page, finalizing it with that title. I liked it, and it said just how I felt about how I treated Cassie. It was perfect.
I smiled, and grabbed my keys to walk out the door. I glanced at myself in the mirror and noticed how tired I looked. Great. Oh well, I guess. Maybe I would grab a Rockstar on the way.
I left a note to my band mates, who decided to take a nap, telling them where I would be so they wouldn't freak out again. I quietly slipped out and heard a scream come from inside Anna and Cassie's room. I walked over to it and knocked.
Anna opened the door.
"Did you just scream?" I asked her.
She nodded and pulled me inside, closing the door behind me.
"Vic just asked me out, and I have no idea what to wear. I know you're a guy, but whatever. Help me choose. Pink or blue?" She asked, holding up two really nice dresses. I looked at either of them and decided that I liked the blue one best.
"Blue." I smiled.
She smiled back, and hurried into the bathroom. It seemed like forever that she was in there, but she finally came out, with her hair pinned back. It was still sitting on her shoulders, she just had pieces pinned back to keep her hair out of her face.
