Harry got released from the hospital wing on Monday morning, just in time to return to classes. After eating a big breakfast, we departed to our different lessons.
Our first class of the day was Defense Against The Dark Arts. When we got inside, Professor Lupin and Professor Avium welcomed us with big smiles.
"Today we'll be doing studying a weird creature called a Hinkypunk." Professor Lupin said.
"Yup. Here it is!" Professor Avium said, disappearing behind a green curtain. She re-appeared moments later with a tank full of murky water.
The Hinkypunk was a weird looking creature with one leg. This Hinkypunk looked harmless and frail - but it wasn't at all. Our two Professors explained them to us, as we all stood around the tank.
They carry a lantern in their hand, which usually lures travelers into bogs and fog and stuff like that. Humans just naturally follow the light. When the travelers are in the bog, the Hinkypunk attacks, and it will most likely kill them.
In the next 20 minutes, we studied the Hinkypunk's behaviour, learning that it was very aggressive and didn't like having a whole classroom full of teenagers gawking at it. After writing down some notes and answering a few questions, my classmates and I left to go to Herbology. We didn't do anything extremely exciting in Herbology. Our task was to peel a bunch of pods, to reveal this weird fruit that smelt like a mix of berries and pears.
After Herbology we made our way to the dungeons - Potions. Great. Snape did his usual welcome and got us to work straight away. We were making a potion using extremely foul-smelling ingredients - I swear that 'Stone Pellets' or whatever they are, are owl droppings.
Eventually, after a long hour, we were dismissed for lunch. Ginny, Daniel, and I found Harry, Hermione and Ron and sat down. We ate lunch while discussing our least favourite lessons - Potions for most of us, but our third year friends informed us that Divination was terrible as well.
As most of the students started filing out of the main door to their next lesson, we got up too.
"Ah, can you guys wait ahead? I have to tell Miranda something." Harry said as we walked a couple of meters. I raised my eyebrows at him, to which he didn't reply. Our friends walked on, and Harry turned to me.
"Okay, you know how we keep fainting because of the Dementors?" Harry asked, pausing, waiting for my answer. I nodded. "Good. Well Professor Lupin - and Avium, have told me that they'll teach us how to defend ourselves from Dementors. You in?"
"Yeah! Of course," I answered very excitedly. "When do we start?"
"Next term." Harry said.
"Okay. Cool! Well...we better catch up." I said with a small laugh. Harry grinned, and we ran up to our friends before going our separate ways. With the happy thought of being taught how to fight a Dementor, the rest of the day went by fairly quickly.

Two weeks before the end of term, everyone seemed more cheerful, as Christmas and the holidays drew closer and closer. Professor Flitwick had already decorated his classroom, making it bright and sparkly with shimmering lights everywhere. In one of his lessons we discovered that the lights were actually little firefly pixies.
My friends and I had all decided to stay for the holidays, even Daniel and Hermione. Harry's mood had slightly saddened as the announcement of one last Hogsmeade visit was put up on the notice board. It was in the last week of term, giving people a chance to do Christmas shopping. Hermione and Ron were excited to go again, but anyone could see that they felt bad for Harry.
