A Celebration
~Kellin~
We pulled up to the hotel, a different one than the one our wedding will be at. I quickly got out of the car to open Summer's door for her. She blushed. What can I say? I'm a true gentleman.
"Thank you, my handsome husband." She winked and giggled at me.
"You're welcome, my beautiful wife." I kissed her cheek before interlocking our fingers and walking into the hotel dinning room.
We've gotten into the habit of calling each other husband and wife. We have our marriage license and we're getting married tomorrow. We see nothing wrong with it. We'er comfortable with it, just like how we're comfortable with already using Quinn as Summer's last name.
All eyes were on us when we entered the dinning room. Mostly everyone was already here. All the eyes were probably on her. Summer (as always) is stunning. Especially in her outfit of choice this evening. Se has on a black and lacy dress with a collar. Her nails are sparkly and red, matching her heels. She's wearing a black and silver beaded bracelet, her engagement ring on her left ring finger, her promise ring on her right, red rose earrings in her first piercing holes, and a thin nose ring. Her black hair was straight and went to the middle of her back. Her makeup was light, giving her a more natural look. Beautiful.
All I've got on are new black skinny jeans, a white dress shirt that's tucked in, a black suit jacket, and nice shoes. Not too fancy, but definitely not casual.
My mother and step-dad greeted us and led us to our seats. There were three long tables set up together. In the middle of the center table were our seats. Next to my seat was Scarlett and next to Summer's was Blu. Next to Scarlett were my parent and next to Blu was Melody, Summer's mom. She doesn't like me calling her Mrs. Parker since we're almost family now.
"You took look great!" Mom complimented.
We both mumbled a thank you while Summer sat down and I pushed in her seat. I sat down myself and looked to my right at Scarlett. She was smiling the most precious smile ever. I leaned in to give her a kiss.
While our dinner was being served I looked around around at everyone who was here for Summer and myself. Our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, my grandparents, our close friends, our entire wedding entourage, and their significant others were here to celebrate with us the night before.
My step-dad stood up. My attention was focused on him now. "Could I have everyone's attention? I'd like to thank you all for being here tonight and tomorrow evening. Marriage is a special thing between two people in love. It means a lot that you all are here for Kellin and his lovely bride. I've watched Kellin grow up from this kid to a grown… well, man-child," That earned him some laughs, "and take care of his siblings, his daughter, his fans, and others. His heart is good and tomorrow it will become all Summer's. Kellin and Summer, I wish you all the luck tomorrow on your special day. I can't wait. I love you both and wish you two a long and happy marriage," he said. He took a sip from his glass of wine and sat back down. Summer and I mumbled a thank you to him as Melody stood up.
She smiled down at us. "Again, thank you for coming. I can't believe tomorrow is the big day! I remember at my oldest daughter's wedding I was balling my eyes out. I told Summer that at her wedding I was not going to be as melodramatic, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen! It'll be too beautiful for me to not!" Laughter erupted in the room. "Summer, Kellin… I can't even begin to tell you both how happy I am for you two. It's obvious you are meant to be. God's put you through it all and you've made it through still as in love as you were when you were seventeen-year-olds. Tomorrow, myself and everyone else gets to witness a ceremony for a love that'll last forever. For the rest of our days, we get to witness a love that'll last forever. I wish you all the best for tomorrow and the rest of your lives. I love you two."
She sat back down. Summer thanked her and kissed her cheek. I picked up my wine glass and stood. I looked down as Summer, mentally telling her to stand with me and speak. I noticed her blush, her vegetarian dinner, and her… lack of wine? Well okay then.
She stood too and wrapped her arm around my middle. I wrapped my arm (the one without the glass of wine) around her shoulders. I took a sip before starting. "For the third, and hopefully last time tonight, my bride and I would like to thank you all of coming tonight and tomorrow. Dad, thank you for the speech and calling me a man-child," I laughed.
"You're welcome, Son!" he chuckled.
"Melody, thank you too. It means a lot to us, what you said. And it means a lot to have all of you with us."
"Yeah. Thanks guys. You all mean so much to us. Every single one of you. I don't know where we'd be without you all. I'd probably have some nine-to-five job if it weren't for my best friends and band mates. I would have gone insane without my mom or sister. And where would I be without the Sleeping With Sirens boys constantly annoying me?" Summer said. My band mates laughed and cheered at that. "We are blessed to have you all here with us and so, so, so lucky you'll be there tomorrow for us too. Thanks, all of you!"
Everyone raised their glasses, except for a few, and cheered to this. To all of this; the dinner, the wedding, our love, the speeches…
We sat back down and made conversation with each other as we ate.
~Summer~
Blu nudged me with her elbow as I ate and spoke to Matty, who was only five seats away. I shot a 'stop it now or else' look at her, but it did nothing. I turned to her. "Yes?" I sounded agitated, no doubt about that.
She magically produced a pen from under the table and grabbed a napkin. "What do you think it's gonna be?" she asked.
My eyes widened. Kellin is sitting right next to me. He can't know yet! "Really?" I scoffed. "Right now?"
She nodded, smiling like a kid with a cookie. "Yes! So, boy or girl?" Her eyebrows wiggled while speaking.
I rolled my eyes. "Boy," I answered. "Now will you stop? Not right now, okay?"
"Please! Pretty please? We can just think of a couple names, okay?" she begged loud enough for me to hear and me only.
"Fine," I sighed. I'm lucky Kellin was caught up in a conversation with his parents about Scarlett. He was too busy to notice what we were doing. "Umm… I like the name Dustin." Dustin Quinn. Nice.
Blu jotted it down on the napkin.
"Hmm… Ethan is a good one." Ethan Quinn. Nice. "So is Dallen… and Allixander." Dallen Quinn or Allixander Quinn? Both. They're perfect. Dallen Allixander Quinn. Allixander Dallen Quinn. We could call Dallen Dall for short. We could call Allixander Xander for short. Perfect.
I watched as she wrote the names down. I had to correct her on spelling since I like unique spellings of names. She also wrote down a few good ones of her own that she thought I would like. Destrey Quinn, Mark Quinn, and Jaxon Quinn. Des, Mark, or Jax?
"Any other names? Any girl ones?" Blu asked.
I shook my head no. "It's a boy. I can feel it."
"So how do you want to tell him?"
I shrugged. "I… I think I'm going to tell him after the wedding. Maybe on our way to our honeymoon."
"That'd be good…"
"But?"
She chuckled. "You know me so well. I still like my idea."
"I know you do," I laughed. "Hey, I'm going to go outside for some fresh air, okay?"
She nodded. "Okay."
I walked to the outside dinning area. No one was there. It wasn't ground level, so there was a railing. I leaned on the railing and stared out into the nothingness in front of my. It's dark out here, the only light coming from the few wall lights and the light coming from the inside dinning room. The doors were glass so you could see through them. I couldn't the party though. They couldn't see me.
It's hard to believe I will be getting married tomorrow. So much has happened. Kellin and I met at the mire age of seventeen. We ended up falling in love. We broke up and I left Florida. I got into a car crash and forgot it all. Soon enough years passed. Kellin and I both had "moved on". We met at Warped Tour nine years later. He was in a relationship while I couldn't remember ours. After two long months we ended up back together. Two weeks later I was informed he was having a baby with his ex. I stayed a month with Kellin. We made love for the first time in forever. He proposed to me. The day after, his daughter was born. KC passed away, which was triggering. I decided I needed help. I broke up with Kellin. He brought us back together. For the second time, he proposed. I said yes. My grandpa passed away. He was there to comfort me. Now, we're here. After so much, we are finally here.
Damn… our relationship sounds like a badly written fan fiction by some awkward thirteen-year-old. But does that really matter? No, because tomorrow is our wedding. Tomorrow I'll get to walk down the aisle, say my deepest feelings for Kellin in my vows, take cool pictures, dance, cut some cake, throw some flowers, have Kellin pull a garter off my upper leg, and more.
Tomorrow I get to feel like a princess, look like a princess, get treated like a princess, and act like a princess. Well, more like queen I guess. Kellin is my king, Scarlett is our princess, and our loved ones make up our kingdom. We rule it because of them. The Quinn Kingdom.
I chuckled lightly at the whole kingdom thing. I wish it was like that. How cool would it be to rule a kingdom?
Now I'm starting to think like an awkward thirteen-year-old fan fiction writer. I should stop. There is no kingdom. Only a wedding venue and reception site.
I heard the glass doors open and close. Someone walked towards me. Kellin. He stood next to me, leaning on the railing, staring out into the darkness. I looked over and a smile was brought to my face. In his arms was his beautiful, adorable, funny, giggly, bouncing baby girl.
She had to be the most radiant thing I've ever laid my eyes on. Especially tonight. She wore an adorable purple dress. The top half fit perfectly while the bottom skirt part turned into something like a tutu. She wasn't wearing shoes, but she had on white tights that went good with the light shade of purple. She wore a white headband with a small purple rose on it.
She giggled as I looked at her. "I swear, she's amazing. I love her so much," I mumbled. I didn't want to be too loud. The silence was nice.
He smiled, but didn't look at me. "Same. She's perfect. My beautiful daughter…"
"Kellin?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you want anymore kids? A sibling for Scar… another daughter, or maybe even a son?" I asked. I made it sound as if I was only wondering. But really, I'm pregnant and having his baby in like… eight months.
He nodded. "Yeah. For sure. When things start to slow down with touring, when we've been married for a bit, when we've talked more about it, and were trying… yeah. I'd love it."
I nodded. "Good…" Oh well. I know touring for his band won't slow down, even though mine is because of Blu and now myself. We aren't even married yet. We aren't trying and we haven't talked about it. "Well, what if-"
"Oh, look Scar!" Kellin grabbed her hand and used it to point up at the sky. We couldn't see very many stars, but one stood out. "It's a shooting star! Make a wish!"
"A wish?" she mumbled.
"Yeah! Make a wish!" Kellin shut his eyes tightly, making his own wish. I wonder what it is…
I giggled. Why not wish as well? I wish that tomorrow will go great and if I tell Kellin he will be happier than ever.
"What did you wish for?" Kellin asked Scarlett.
She giggled at him. "Momma!"
Kellin laughed. "Okay, that wasn't really a wish but whatever… what did you wish for, Summer?"
"If I tell you it won't come true!"
"Summer… I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."
I shook my head and stepped away from the railing. "You wish! Come on, let's go back inside."
He rolled his eyes and we went back inside. It would have been nice to know his wish, but there is no way I'm telling mine.
A/N: The second chapter! Yay! How is this story so far? Awesome, I know. Summer's outfit is in the sidebar.
What do you think Kellin wished for? Tell me in the comments! Two comments for this chapter telling me what you think he said? If so, I'll upload the next chapter faster. I already have most written. And this is the chapter you all have been waiting so long for! Please and thanks guys!
