"So Alexander?" I groaned rolling my eyes, as I put my books away.
"Don't go there." She held her hands up in surrender. "Why not? He's cute."
I rolled my eyes once more before looking to my left only to catch Alexander's gaze on me.
"What about you and that Tyler guy huh?" She blushed and I smirked at her.
"I want deets but if he hurts you I won't hesitate to chop off his balls and feed them to my dog." She gave me a weird look before laughing.
"Em, you don't have a dog." She linked my arms with hers and we walked out. "Yet. I don't have a dog yet, Syl." She rolled her eyes before we began our walk home.
We didn't live that far, unless you consider two miles far away then sure but I enjoyed walking.
I liked exercising for it helped keep my thoughts from exploding.
"Speaking of Alexander." She spoke up, pulling out a piece of paper from her pocket.
"He wanted me to give this to you." Looking at it, it had everyone's number on it. "Why?" I asked but she only shrugged.
"We're all friends now, right? Maybe that's why." Friends? But before I could answer, we both jumped at the sound of a car honking.
We turned and Chloe pulled up with Sophia in the passenger seat. "Need a ride?"
I looked to Syl who just shrugged along with me. "Eh why not." They smiled at us before we hopped into the back where Layla was.
"So where to ladies?" I screamed suddenly at the sound of Aiden's voice.
As everyone laughed, I attempted to calm my now racing heart.
Sylvia told Chloe my address and she nodded. "So I never got to ask but are you guys new here?"
"Yeah, we just moved here last month." We? Like as in everyone in this car? "We?" I asked and Chloe nodded.
"Yeah, my family and a could other family friends." Okay then, large family. "We moved into that new place they built around here."
Sylvia oohed, and nodded pulling out her phone. "Oh yeah I heard about that place, it was for any new people who needed a place."
"You could say that." Aiden mumbled making me frown in confusion at his comment. Tyler however gave him a look making Aiden shut up.
"We're here." She pulled up in front of my house and I smiled realizing my mom was home.
"Thanks Chloe." She smiled at us shrugging, "No problem."
"You live here? It's huge!" Jake exclaimed from the trunk making me roll my eyes. Huge? "See you guys tomorrow."
Syl and I got out, waiting until they drove off before going home. "I have homework to do, text me?" I nodded, giving her a quick hug before walking inside.
"I'm home!" I called out before closing the door behind me. "In the kitchen."
Setting my things down, I went to the kitchen where my mom was cooking.
"Hey mom." She smiled at me. "How was school?" I groaned dramatically and laid my head on the table.
"Long and tiring." She laughed as she began cutting up veggies. "Can I help?"
Before she could even answer there was a knock on the door. "Who could that be?"
My mom had her voice at a certain pitch making it obvious that she knew who it was.
Just play along, Emily. We walked to the door and I opened it to see a large box.
"Open it." I frowned but complied to her wishes.
The box suddenly moved ever so lightly making me jump back.
Was someone inside? What the hell were they thinking? They could suffocate or something!?
I pulled off the large ribbon around the box, making it fall apart and I gasped covering my mouth.
There was the cutest Black Labrador Retriever, with chocolate brown eyes making me fall in love with him.
"Oh my god." I squatted down and he licked my face, standing up I turned to face my mom but my eyes abruptly got covered.
"Guess who?" No, it couldn't be but that voice. Could it be him? No, no no it couldn't be him.
"Daddy?" The hands uncovered my eyes and I slowly turned around, covering my mouth I began sobbing.
He wrapped his arms around me and I crumbled. "Shh, I'm here it's okay."
I shook my head and pulled away, keeping him at arms length. "I can't believe you're here."
He kissed my forehead before I stepped aside letting my mom could hug him.
Or so I thought but she instead kissed him, okay gross. My parents are in a face battle right now, gross.
I felt something nudge my side and I looked down to see my new baby. "What are you going to name him?"
I examined him closely, "Deucalion." My mom laughed knowing why I chose that name.
Okay so you ever watch Teen Wolf? Because I'm literally obsessed and so the season that Deucalion came, I loved his name.
I don't know why but I liked the name. Whether it be because it quite literally means destroyer of worlds, I don't know.
Want to know something funny? Deucalion happens to also be Alexander's last name.
Weird right? Wait how do I know that? Oh yeah we have a class together.
Going inside with my parents, they went to the kitchen while I went out to the backyard with Deucalion.
My backyard was semi big, we were surrounded by trees that were almost never ending but from the color of the sky, I knew it was going to rain.
Sitting on the porch, Deuce laid his head onto my lap allowing me to run my hand over his fur. He closed his eyes, and I knew he was falling asleep.
"Honey, come inside!" Looking over my shoulder, I smiled at my mom who was leaning against the door frame..
"Okay." I continued to pet Deuce for a while longer before deciding it was time to go in.
"Come on Deuce." He woke up and began to shake himself we went inside.
I walked into the kitchen where my parents were talking, allowing Deucalion to wander around, as I hoped onto the counter top.
"So tell me what's been going on?" My dad asked, taking a seat at the dining table.
Oh daddy, you're in for a story.
