Everything turned black as soon as they left.

I turned to face Grams but she was also gone. What the hell? Who were those people?

"This is Jake, Tyler, Sophia, Aiden, Layla, and Chloe."

Suddenly an image or well a memory flashed before my eyes. Then another and another, I screamed out in pain.

"Grams! Make it stop!" Yet she was no where to be seen. "Grams, please." I held my head in my hands, and gripped my hair.

I screamed as loud as I possibly could, it hurt. My head was flooding with memories, painful, good, and just everything I went through.

"Please make it stop. It hurts." I sobbed out and curled into a ball. My body ached and these memories just kept flashing in my head.

"Emily, I know you probably can't hear me and for all I know ..." That voice.

Suddenly there was a warmness coming from where this man was holding my hand.

Who was he?

"God, Em. Why didn't you tell?" His voice cracked and I wanted to hold him but I couldn't even move.

"I can't lose you, Em. Just please come back to me."

Suddenly the warmness was gone and I felt a pressure on my forehead, that made my body feel like it was on fire.

I remember this feeling, this touch. "Alexander it's time to go." Hearing his name just made something in my mind click.

"Was that your plan? To make me fall in love with you, just to keep lying to me?! Were you ever going to tell me?"

What is this? A memory. I cringed in pain as another one came to me.

"I want to be with you Emily, and no one else." He put a hand under my chin making me look at him. That day he kissed me.

I continued to scream, why are these memories the only ones that are painful?

"Because he marked you." I looked up to see Grams.

"You guys are connected and that means the memories are just harder to retrieve." She knelt down in front of me and moved some hair out of my face.

"Everything will be okay, baby." She kissed my forehead before disappearing.

"Grams ..." Another screamed erupted from me.

Please. Save me.

I felt numb, I didn't feel anything anymore.

I just wanted to sleep.

So that's what I did, I let the darkness consume me.

Everyone rushed into the room. "Emily." Alexander cried out.

"Help! Someone help!" Sylvia yelled out and doctors came running in.

"Everyone out!" Alexander growled but had no choice but to listen. Emily was flat lining and the doctors needed to act quick.

"What happened?" Sylvia asked Alexander while crying.

"I was just talking to her, and then she started flat lining." He ran a hand through his hair and leaned against the wall.

"She's stable for now but we still don't know when or if she'll wake up." Everyone sobbed and Sylvia hid her face in Tyler's chest.

Alexander made his way into the room with everyone right behind him.

"Emily." Sylvia whispered while grabbing hold of Emily's still hand.

"Come back to me, Emily. I need my sister." She whispered into Emily's ear as she laid in the bed with her sleeping best friend.

Suddenly Emily jolted up awake screaming. Sylvia wrapped her arms around Emily, trying to calm her down.

"Wake up! Em wake up! I'm here." Emily clutched onto Sylvia's arm like her life depended on.

Alexander want to kiss Emily senseless but Tyler dragged him out of the room.

"Em, look at me." Sylvia whispered while making Emily look at her.

"What happened?" Emily took deep breathes.

"I died. I saw Grams, oh my god, I saw Grams." She began to cry and hugged Sylvia tighter.

"Shh, you're here. I'm here." Emily nodded but she felt like she ass missing something .... someone.

"Syl?" Sylvia hummed in response, for he was just so happy that Emily was okay.

"What happened to me?" Sylvia pulled away and looked at her in the eyes.

"You don't remember?" Emily shook her head.

"The last thing I remember was, me surprising you at your house." That was when she came back.

"Seriously?" Emily gave Sylvia a small smile and shook her head.

"I'm kidding. I remember everything except somethings and what happened. It's all foggy and if I try to remember my head hurts." Sylvia sighed in relief.

"Don't scare me like that." She scolded her best friend.

"Can I bring in Alexander and everyone?" Emily frowned in confusion, "Who's that?"

Emily was utterly confused on who Alexander was, she remembers her friends but not that name.

"My baby." Suddenly her mom burst in and wrapped her arms around her.

"Mom." Emily then struggled to breathe, "I can't breathe."

Her mom gasped and pulled away. "Sorry." She gave her a small smile.

"My turn." Emily gasped at the sight of her dad. "Daddy."

He hugged her and she began to cry. "I missed you." He kissed the top of her head. "Same here pumpkin."

They pulled away and Sylvia snuck away outside to talk to the others, giving them some privacy.

"Is she okay?"

"Can we see her?"

"What happened?"

As soon as everyone saw her, they bombarded her with questions. "Yes, no, and she doesn't remember."

"What do you mean no?" Alexander asked while stepping forward.

"She doesn't remember you Alexander. Everyone else yes, but you no." Everyone gave Alex a sad look, "She'll be fine Alex. She just needs time."

Tyler reassured Alexander or well tried to and in a way he was trying to give everyone some type of hope.

"Are you guys Emily's friends?" Everyone turned towards the womanly voice.

Emily's mom.

"I think we need to talk."
