The whole week was a breeze, Saturday night came quicker than I wanted it too.
"Reynolds!" I jumped and looked at my couch.
"I need you in the field. If we make this shot then we can win."
"But the goal I-" One of the other girls cut me off. "I'll do it Em. I know I can."
I smiled and nodded at her. "Alright then."
We ran out and I smiled as I heard Syl screaming for me.
"Woo go Em!" or "If you win, we'll get Starbucks!" and even, "I'm recording so don't mess up."
That's my best friend for you, I took my place and crouched a bit. We were winning 2-1 and we're on the final half of the game.
So if I make the shot or anyone then we win. "Em, route six alright?" Our team captain, Taylor told me.
I nodded and got ready as the game started. Route six is a game play we designed, sometimes it works other times it doesn't end so well.
I ran to get the ball, I slid and passed the ball to Trisha while I got up. She got the ball close enough to the goal and I ran to her.
I was still to far I did a round off back handspring, and landed perfectly. I kicked the ball but slipped landing on my back.
The couch whistled and that was a sigh the game was over. I looked up and gasped, I did it!
"Oh my god!" My team did a group hug and we jumped around. "Tigers! Tigers! Tigers!"
We canted, Taylor tapped my shoulder. "Would you like to do the honors?" She held the drink cooler and I smirked. "Loved to."
We snuck up behind couch as he talked to some people. "Now!" We dumped the Gatorade on him making him gasp and laugh.
"You're lucky I love you guys!" He chuckled, "We love you too couch." We wrapped our arms around each other and smiled.
Someone cleared their throat and I turned around to see Alex holding some flowers. "Hi!" I jumped at him wrapping my leg around his waist.
"Well hello to you too." He kissed my head and set me down or well tried.
I wasn't letting go. "Emily, you have to let go at some point." He chuckled.
"Oh my you're right. I need to shower and change. I probably smell gross." I let go and walked away but he stopped me.
"On the contrary you smell amazing." Alex slipped his hands around my waist and dipped his head in the crook oh my neck.
I giggled and pushed him away. "Where's Syl?" Before he could answer Syl tackled me in a hug.
"You did amazing! That round off handspring, I knew you blew that gymnastic competition!"
"Thank you and hey I did it for you." She laughed and I hugged everyone else. "Can I go home now and sleep? Doing a round off handspring is tiring."
"Wait, when did you do gymnastics?" I winked. "Nope, my secret." Aiden pouted and crossed his arms.
"When we were in the fifth grade, we took a class together." I gaped at Syl, who smiled innocently.
"Hey!" Syl raised her hands in surrender and hid behind Tyler. "Oh, I see. What else can you do?" I rolled my eyes and started walking after grabbing my bag.
"What do you want to see?" I asked as we reached my car. "Oh I know how about that one that you did during the finals?" Syl asked and I glared at her.
"What? It got you into the elite competition with me." I sighed and threw my bag in the car. "Fine. What was it again?" Syl squealed and clapped her hands.
"You guys are going to love this. Front handspring, step out, round off, back handspring, step out, round out, back handspring, full twisting lay out."
I sighed and shook my head, "Geez." Everyone watched me as I fixed my ponytail.
"Be careful okay?" Alex whispered to me, I nodded and he pecked my lips before walking back to the others.
I walked to a clear area, and did as Syl wanted me too. I landed with my back towards them, I turned around and smiled.
"Well damn." Jake mumbled. Syl squealed and hugged me. "Why did we stop again?" She asked making me laugh.
"You won the elite competition and that was it." She nodded and we pulled away.
"So can we go now?" I asked really wanting to go home.
"Our house or yours?" I gave them a confused look, "I'm going home. I have a bucket of ice cream and Netflix waiting for me."
"To Em's house it is!" They cheered as Sly and I got in my car.
"What part of I want to go home don't they get?"
Sylvia just laughed and shook her head. "They're werewolves. They don't listen."
