It's been several weeks since my accident, since I got my memory and it's nearly October.
The girls and I have been planning our big surprise to ask the guys to Homecoming but I have a bad feeling.
"Emily." I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up. "Yeah?" Layla smiled at me.
"I said we're finished!" Oh right. "Thank god!" I forced a smile and got off the floor.
"So what now?" Syl asked while taking a seat on the couch.
"We go buy big ass bears, then make them hold the sign, and we'll come out from behind and bam surprise." The girls looked at me like I was crazy.
"If it's any constellation we get to keep the bears." I muttered while crossing my arms.
"Okay, deal." I rolled my eyes at the girls, of course they would want the bears. "Okay so when are we doing this?"
Oh right, "So the ninth is on a Friday so we'll do it on the second."
The girls nodded and I pulled out my phone and frowned at the text.
From - Mr. Deucalion
Hey babe, can't make it to dinner tonight. Something's come up. Rain check? I love you.
Motherfucker! What am I going to tell my parents?! This is the fifth time he's asked for a flipping rain check!
"Okay what's going on?" I looked directly at Chloe.
"I want the truth Chloe." She avoided eye contact and so did Layla.
"Sophia." She gave me a sad smile, "We're sworn by the Alpha not to say anything." They mumbled.
"Well fuck, I'm the Luna and demand an answer." We all stared at Syl in amazement.
"Oh my god." Layla whispered. "You just commanded us." Chloe gushed, but Lay elbowed her in the side.
"Right, sorry." I looked at Sophia who just shrugged.
"Well so the reason the guys have been missing so much school and whatnot is because they've been tracking Xavier." His name made me shiver in disgust.
"He's been roaming around but we can never really catch him."
"So he's running loose as we speak?!" Syl shrieked making them cover their ears. She mumbled an apology.
"Exactly." I started to get a headache, like really bad.
"Emily? Em? Are you okay?" I felt someone grab me but my vision was blurring up.
It was like I was getting a migraine, but ten times worse.
My vision blurred even more and I didn't bother trying to fight the darkness, I let it consume me.

When I woke up, I was in my room.
I must have fainted because this is a first and there's a first time for everything.
"Emily, thank god you're okay." Syl wrapped her arms around me and I just laughed.
"I'm fine. I just fainted." She sighed and got into my bed with me, "I was so scared."
I laid my head on her shoulder. "I'm fine. Everything will be okay."
She nodded and we just sat together in silence. "Alexander hasn't come?"
She shook her head, "No one can get in contact with him or Tyler."
"Do you think they're okay?" She nodded, "Yeah. They're probably just tracking down Xavier."
I laughed and checked the time, "Where are my parents?"
She shrugged, "I think they're talking to your Gramps downstairs in the kitchen."
I nodded and sat up, "Go home. We have school tomorrow, sleep and I'll see you in the morning."
She gave me an unsure look and I hugged her. "I promise." She reluctantly agreed and I pushed her towards the door.
"Go." She laughed and I watched her leave.
I lied down again stared at the ceiling. My phone went off again and I grabbed it. I had a text from an unknown number.
From - (801)-***-****
Love what you're planning, to bad you won't live to make it to your Homecoming. Send my love to Alexander.
I reread the text possibly like three times. Is this for real? Should I tell Alexander? Without thinking I replied.
To - (801)-***-****
Xavier is this you?
From - (801)-***-****
Nope, care to guess again? But just a little heads up, Xavier's dead. You'll find his body near the old tree by the lake.
My blood ran cold and I hurried to call Alexander, but got no answer.
"Dammit." I scrolled through my contacts and clicked on Chloe's number.
"Hello?" Thank god! "Chloe! Meet me by the lake near my house. Hurry." I hung up before she could question me.
I slipped on a pair of shoes and snuck down the stairs.
I heard slight yelling from the kitchen, "I didn't want her to have that life style." That was mom.
"Rosalie, neither did I but she's dating on of them. What choice do we have." And there's dad.
"She doesn't need this in her life Chris! She's only 16!"
"Rose, Chris, calm down. Alexander would never let anything happen to her. Everything will be fine." I was grateful that Gramps was still here.
I snuck out the back door and made a run for it. I cursed myself for not dressing warmer but I needed to know this was real.
That this was really happening.
As I made it to the lake, I bent forward placing my hands on my knees taking deep breathes.
I walked towards an old tree that's been here since forever. I saw legs, and that's all I needed to know this was real.
I sat on the nearest rock and stared at the body in disbelief.
"This can't be happening. Oh my god." My phone vibrated and I jumped lightly.
From - (801)-***-****
Oh this is just the beginning sweet heart.
And I knew they were right.
