"Emily, come on we need to go to school." Syl dragged me out of bed as I fought against her.

"Leave me to wallow in my self pity." I dramatically said while, grabbing a hold of my bed as she pulled on my leg.

"Come on we can go to Starbucks after." I perked up, peeking at her. "Promise?" She nodded and I let go making us both fall.

"Okay." She giggled and left me to get dressed.

I got up and lazily got dressed, I slipped on black jeans, with a grey tank top, and a plain light blue flannel.

I grabbed my bags, keys, and phone before heading downstairs. I couldn't find my contacts so I have to wear my glasses.

We hadn't seen or talked to Alex and Tyler all weekend after Friday's incidents. Cell reception is bad so I can't call my mom or gramps.

"Ready?" She nodded, and we went to my car. "Do you think -" I cut her off.

"I don't know, nor do I care Syl. I don't trust them." Of course that was a lie, but I have my doubts.

"Right and I'm pregnant." She rolled her eyes at me while putting on her seat belt.

"That I would believe. I mean the way you and Tyler sneak around at night yeah totally." She looked at me shocked, "H-How?"

She looked like a fish out of water. "I have a balcony and I have a clear view of your house. I see him."

"I was going to tell you." I just smiled at her. "As long as your happy."

She sighed happily, "I am, Em. I really am."

I didn't know what to say. I wanted that but I'm afraid, wouldn't you be? Well I'm pretty sure yeah.

"What day is it?" I asked her and she shrugged. "I think A." I smiled.

"Yes! I have Mr. Harris." She laughed as we got out of my car.

We walked inside and as I walked in I made eye contact with Alexander who was talking to Tyler.

I stayed standing there until I heard the intercom go off.

"Will Emily Reynolds please report to the auditorium. Emily Reynolds to the auditorium." Syl went to her locker as I went to towards the auditorium avoiding Alex.

When I reached it, I was hesitant but I went inside nonetheless.

It's not like I'm going to see Alexander magically standing in there when I just saw him in the hallway.

Isn't that what you want?

However I sighed in relief when it was just Sophia.

"Hey, what's up?" She smiled at me and handed me a music sheet. "You want to sing this instead?" She nodded and tucked some hair behind her hair.

"I mean we could still do the mashup but I think this is simpler."

It was Like I'm Going To Lose You by Meghan Trainor ft. John Legend

It honestly is an amazing song. How can I refuse?

"Of course." She smiled at me, happily. "So I may or may not have cleared you for all your classes this week so we could practice."

"Why Ms. Davidson, have I ever told you that I love you?" I asked in a fake British accent.

She laughed and shook her head. "No Ms. Reynolds I don't think you have." Her British accent was better than mine.

"Well I love you." She smiled and hugged me. "I love you too." We walked up to the stage and I grabbed the guitar.

"I think I know the tune." She smiled and squealed. "We're so going to win." I smiled and shook my head.

"Now, let's get to work."

Can someone die from singing?

I mean we took breaks but oh my lord does that girl have lungs, better than mine even.

"Come on it's lunch then it's back to work." I shook my head. "You go a head I want to get my part down."

"You sure?" I nodded and she started to leave but I stopped her when I remembered something. "Sophia."

She stopped to look at me, "Yeah?"

"We can't practice Friday. I have a game Saturday and need to practice with my team that day." She sighed dramatically, "Fine."

I thanked her and watched as she walked out. As I strummed the guitar I heard the door open.

"What did you forget?" I asked in a teasing tone. "My mate."

I froze, what was he doing here? Alexander was walking towards me and I made no effort to move.

A part of me wanted to but the other part wanted to stay there. You can guess which part won.

"What are you doing here?" I asked finally being able to stand up. "Sophia said you weren't going to eat."

My eyes never left his, "I wanted to work some more." I answered truthfully.

"Emily." The pain laced in his voice made me heart ache. "I need you." He whispered, as he got closer to me.

"I ... I .. don't know." I whispered feeling breathless. "Emily, please. Do you remember what you told me that night?"

I forced myself to look away, "Of course I do." It was when I confessed my feelings.

I was in love with this boy but I'm afraid to open up again and let myself be as vulnerable as I was with Carter.

"I want to be with you Emily, and no one else." He put a hand under my chin and made me look at him.

His eyes were begging me in a way, "I just -"

Before I could even speak he smashed his lips to mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and I pulled him closer.

I knew what was going on but I didn't care honestly.
