"You are so pathetic." I stated as I threw a french fry at Tyler.
It was currently lunch and we were talking about embarrassing moments.
"It's true." He defended as he continued to explain his story which was that he once lied to a girl just to get her to kiss him.
"And I repeat, you are so pathetic." He pouted playfully causing everyone to laugh.
"Aren't you going to be late?" He huffed making my eyes widen in realization. "Oh my god! You guys need to tell me these things sooner!"
"Text me later so we can talk about our project!" Sophia yelled after me as I booked it to the field.
Thankfully this time I didn't run into Carter, actually I haven't seen him all day. I was already dressed so I just needed to change into my cleats.
Sitting down on the grass, I began to change my shoes when I saw the football team. I couldn't help but wave when my eyes landed on an old friend.
Nathan, he was my friend at one point before I began dating Carter. He waved back and I quickly changed my shoes before doing my stretches.
I heard someone come towards me so I looked up and saw Nathan. "Hey."
I could only smile, unsure of what else to say. "I haven't seen you in awhile." He pointed out and I nodded.
"Yeah, I was at my gramps place for the summer." He hummed and we just kind of stood there awkwardly before he had to go.
Can you say awkward? Because that's what it was, awkward. Hey deja vu.
I smiled at the couch as he came onto the field. "Early as always, Ms. Reynolds." He stated making me laugh.
"Course." He smiled before looking at his clipboard.
I was his best player, mostly because I was his best goal keeper and I was always on time.
The bell rung and the other girls ran onto the field. "Alright Tigers! We have a game next week, so let's get to practice!"
I jogged over to the goal and got into my stance as waited for the game to begin. From the corner of my eyes, I saw that Carter and Kayla were watching us play.
Is it possible to accidentally hit them with the ball?
Let's find out.

"You did not!" Sylvia gasped whereas I just nodded, continuing to grab my things from my locker.
"I did." I promised, before closing my locker to face her entirely.
So apparently it was possible to hit them with the soccer ball, or well one of them seeing as I hit Kayla in the face. I couldn't contain my laughter as she fell backwards when it hit her in the face.
Couch gave me a warning afterwards but I promised it was an accident but now, I'm with Syl heading to my car.
"I mean I was just testing my hypothesis." I shrugged as she laughed.
However, I didn't miss the glare Kayla gave me as we passed by her.
"Oh yeah Syl come over today? I want you to meet someone." She gave me a confused look but nodded.
I had yet to tell her my dad was home, and she has met him but only over video chat when he would call.
Walking to my car, we both frowned upon seeing Alex and Tyler waiting by it.
"What's up?" I asked them with curiosity as soon as we reached them. "Can we hang today?"
I looked at Sylvia who just shrugged, which is usually her answer to everything. "Sure."
They got into the back, and I waited for them to put on their seat belt before pulling out of the parking lot and heading home.
I guess, they were going to meet my parents then oh and Deuce.
As Sylvia turned on the radio, the familiar song of All I Want blasted through the speakers.
"Baby all I want is you! In the middle of the night, I've been thinking about you like."
Sylvia and I shared a look before belting out the lyrics. "You used to come to my house after school, but your boyfriend, no he never knew."
"Baby come through!" I pointed to Sylvia who continues. "Baby come through!"
"You guys are strange." Alex commented ruining our moment. "Best friends." I stated like it was the most obvious thing ever.
"True!" Sylvia yelled as we pulled into my driveway. I frowned upon noticing my moms car was gone from its spot. I thought said she had the day off, where did she go?
We walked inside and right as I stepped through the door Deuce pounced on me. "Hey boy!"
Sylvia gasped rushing over to examine him. "You got a dog?!" I nodded while smiling at him. "This is Deucalion."
Alexander chuckled and I rolled my eyes. "And no he isn't named after you." Deucalion then suddenly growled at Alex and Tyler, confusing me.
He's never done that before, well to anyone my parents have had over since last night but still.
"Let's go downstairs." I suggested and when no one disagreed, I led them down to the basement.
The basement was basically made into a small theater room as well as a game room. Wasn't cheap either.
Turning on the light, the small fairy lights all around lit up illuminating the room. We had a large bed down here, and scattered around were beanbags.
The guys looked around, looking at all the pictures that hung from the ceiling of Sylvia, and I or my family and I.
There was so many that I lost count honestly.
Deucalion plopped down onto the bed, and I laid next to him petting him after he got comfortable.
"Let's play some COD?" Tyler suggested sitting on one of the beanbags.
"You're going down."
