Okay so you remember when Sophia and I were practicing for the thingy in our music class? Yeah. okay good.

So we won right, and now it's the assembly but I'm freaking out so much! The entire school is here and it's so scary.

Homecoming is in a week so tomorrow we're going to ask the guys. So far I haven't heard from Xavier and that's a good thing right?

I'm kind of scared that he may be in the audience but I know we'll be okay. Or at least I hope so.

"Hey, don't frown so much. You'll be okay. We'll be okay." Sophia took my hands in hers and I smiled at her.

"Thanks. I'm just nervous." She nodded, "Same here but we'll do great. We're just the opening act and then it'll be the dance class performing."

I took a deep breathe while nodding. "Okay, you're right." Before she could say anything our music teacher came to us. "It's show time."

She walked away and so did I, to the nearest exit.

"Oh no you don't." Sophia stopped me and pulled me towards the stage. "No no! I can't do it Sophia." She stopped and turned to face me.

"I'll be right next to you, Emily." I had no choice but to go on, I sighed and reluctantly nodded.

She smiled at me before pulling me with her on stage, everyone clapped and I picked up the guitar.

I looked to Sophia nervously and she smiled at me while nodding, I took a deep breathe before starting to play.

God I hope I don't mess up.

"You guys did amazing!" Our teacher gushed as soon as we stepped off the stage.

"Thanks." Sophia said and I just smiled as thanks.

We walked out and sat with the rest of the audience, we sat in the front row but I couldn't really get into it.

My mind was somewhere else, I had a bad feeling about everything. Suddenly the lights cut out making everyone scream.

Just great, I jinxed it.

It was dark and I grabbed onto Sophia who was shaking. "We need to get out of here." I'm not sure if she nodded or not but I didn't care.

Everyone was running around and eventually I lost Sophia when people were bumping into us.

"Why does this always happen?" I pushed my way through trying to find an exit. When my phone vibrated I froze, I should've known.

From - Xavier

Surprise, surprise. Turn around.

I turned around only for someone to cover my mouth from behind and drag me out of the screaming auditorium.

I struggled against their grip but he only tightened his grip. "I lied, little Emily. Here's a gift from me to Alexander."

Suddenly I felt a sting in my neck, as he released me. "A mate for a mate." I held my neck and glared at Xavier.

He was holding what looked to be like a needle, it had some red stuff in it. "I will kill you." I spat at him with as much hatred as possible.

He let out a humorless laugh, "Oh but you won't. You see, you're not going to live to make it to homecoming night."

I watched as he walked away. "You'll be dead soon. But do give my regards to Alex." Then like nothing he was gone.

I'm going to die. Oh god.

I felt my eyes water but I didn't dare let myself cry. No one can know. No one will ever know.

I got up once I realized the lights were on once again. "I need to get out of here."

I didn't want anyone asking questions. I made my way to my car and just sat in the front seat.

What am I going to tell everyone? How will I?

A million questions were going through my mind as I sat there for god knows how long.

"I'm going to die and no one will ever know." Except for Alexander.

I let a few tears fall but I quickly whipped them away.

"If I'm going to die, then so be it. Death doesn't scare me." But it does.

If I was going to die, I'd want to be with the people I love.

"This isn't a fairytale, Emily." I muttered to myself. "This isn't real. It can't be."

I was talking to myself and soon enough I was clutching my head while screaming.

"This isn't real! It can't be." I wanted to believe that it wasn't real but sadly it is.

I, Emily Marie Reynolds, am dying and no one will ever know.
