***Madelyn's POV***
I get my phone out and dial Dad's number.
"Hello." Dad answers the phone.
"Daddy! We are in London!" I squeal.
"Oh that's great princess. Are you staying with me tonight?" He asks.
"We'll I have to help Mum unpack before I can." I reply.
"The movers unpacked for me. You can go over right now if you want." Mum whispers.
"Oh wait dad. Mum said that everything is already unpacked. Can I come over right now?" I ask with excitement.
"Yes princess. I will be there in a few minutes." He says.
Mum and I check out the whole house.
"Why is the house so big? It's just the two of us." I say.
"Just between me and you, I've been talking to a man and right now we are just friends but I think he is interested." She squeals acting like an obsessed teenager.
"That's great mum! Does he live in London?" I ask.
"Yes. He works at a shop next to the shop I am working at." She says.
"Great! Where is my room?" I ask.
"Upstairs to the left. I think you're in for a surprise." She giggles.
Oh great. I bet it's the most awful room in this house. I run up the stairs and go into my bedroom. It is huge!! I even have my own flat screen TV!!
HONK HONK!
That must be dad. I run back downstairs, give mum a kiss, and run out the door to Dad's car.
"Daddy!" I yell.
"Hey princess. Wow you have gotten so big! How old are you now?" He asks.
"18." I laugh.
"Wow that shows how long I've been away from you. 12 years. Don't worry I won't ever leave you again." He promises as he drives off.
"So where are we going?" I ask in a little kid voice.
"Somewhere to eat. What would you like? Anything you want." He smiles.
"It doesn't matter to me. I don't know any places here. You pick somewhere." I say.
"I know. We can go to a really fancy restaurant." He smiles.
"But I don't have any dresses or anything fancy to wear." I say.
"Don't worry. I can fix that. There is this really nice dress shop that I can take you to and you can pick out a dress." Dad replies.
"No! I couldn't let you do that." I reject.
"Yes. You are my daughter ad I haven't seen you in 12 years. We have to catch up on each other. 12 birthdays of yours I've missed and I didn't get you a present or anything. I feel like a terrible father." He sighs.
"You're not a terrible father. You live in London and I lived in Kentucky. That's really far apart. At least we get to see each other now." I smile.
"You know you're right. And we are going to have the best day ever!" He yells.
"Yay!!" I squeal.
"Yep. We are going to my place first for a while and later tonight we will eat." He says.
We arrive at his house. His house isn't too big and isn't too small.
"So what do you think?" He asks me.
"It's perfect." I smile.
We both go in an sit on the couch. He turns on the TV and we watch spongebob square pants.
"So tell me about yourself." He says.
"Well I'm 18, I'm not that sporty, I love to sing, write, and play the piano." I say.
"Oh that's cool. Do you have a boyfriend?" He asks.
"No.." I say in an awkward voice.
"There is a boy that lives next door. He is about your age I think." Dad says.
"Thanks but I really don't want a boyfriend." I chuckle.
"Well that's ok." He says.
I look around the room still sitting on the couch to get a feel for this place. I notice he has an Wii!
"You have a Wii?" I ask.
"Yeah do you like the Wii?" He asks.
"I love it! What games do you have?" I ask.
"Mario cart, all if the Just Dances..." I interrupt him when I hear Just Dance.
"Just Dance? We have to play that game!" I squeal.
"Ok but Ill have to warn you, nobody can ever beat me." He smiles.
"We'll see about that. You haven't played me yet." I laugh.
Dad puts the game in and turns it on.
"What song?" He asks.
"The Call Me Maybe, Beauty and A Beat mash up!" I yell.
He turns the song on and we start dancing. I can't help but laugh through the whole song because of Dad. He was goofing off the whole time. Suddenly we hear a knock at the door.
