When Niall and I arrive at my house he walks me to my doorstep.
"Thank you very much for dinner." I smile.
"No problem. I had a lot of fun. I still want you to know that I'm very sorry and if you ever need anything I'll be right here." He says.
"Thanks and it's ok. I just need to get used to calling you Niall instead of Austin." I laugh.
"Oh yeah. Haha. Oh and there's something I need to ask you. I kinda forgot to ask you earlier." He stutters.
"Yeah?"
"Will you umm, you know, girlfriend." He asks, staring at the ground.
Awe how sweet.
"Yes." I smile.
"Yayyyyyy!!!! I'm so happy!!!" He jumps up and down playfully.
"Oh wow." I laugh.
"Ok well I'll pick you up tomorrow like around 4?" He asks.
"Sure. I'll see you then." I nod my head.
"Ok."
Niall gives me a big bear hug and I give one back. I go into my house and fall on the couch.
"Why are you so happy?" Mom asks.
"Niall. He's soooooo sweet. And he's mine, all mine." I say in a dreamy voice.
"I'm not even gonna ask." She laughs.
"Oh how did your date with dad go?" I ask.
"It went well. And what do you mean, DATE Madelyn?" She asks giving me "the look."
"Well I just wanted to call it a date. I mean obviously it was dinner but it was sort of a date." I say trying not to tie up my words.
"Oh I see. So how is Karlee's sister?"she asks.
"Um I don't know. Why?" I ask confused.
"She had a baby supposedly. But I called Michelle, Karlee's mom, to see how Karlee's sister was doing and her mom said that the only sister Karlee has is a 6 year old one." Mom shakes her head with one of those mom faces.
"Oh. Yeah about that I'm sorry. I just wanted an excuse for you an dad to be alone. I have been thinking lately about what you two had. You two shouldn't have divorced. We were one happy family. I miss how it used to be." I sigh.
"Oh Mady. I know I miss it too, but you don't have to lie. So that's what it was about? You could have told me." Mom says rubbing my back.
"I know I'm sorry." I say.
"But luckily the 'date' with your dad went very well and we will be going to an amusement park this weekend." She smiles.
"Woohoo go mom!" I root.
"Ha we are just two friends wanting to do something fun together." Mom laughs.
"Uh huh sure." I wink as I go upstairs.
I put my pajamas on, turn duck dynasty on, and hop in bed. Before I know it I'm out.
*Next Day*
I wait outside for Niall to come get me. He pulls up and I hop into the car.
"Where are we going?" I ask eagerly.
"It's a surprise!" He says.
"Ughhhh not again!!! I hate surprises!!" I groan.
"We'll then we don't have to go." Niall winks.
"No no!! I want to go." I laugh.
"Good." He chuckles.
