Jason's pov

I leave Ann with Kasi and run out the door.

Miranda's pov

I hear footsteps as I open my car door. "I'm sorry Sean. I can't be here. Not while he's here." I say shakily grabbing my neck. My eyes go wide in horror. "Holy!! Where's my locket!!??" I screech, turning around only it's not my brother, it's the guy who claims not to have feelings for me. "You dropped this." He says, holding it out to me. My locket. Man, I wish he didn't see it. "Here, let me put it on you." He says, unclasping it for me. I back away, my hand on my car door. "W-What happened to n-not having feelings for me?"

Jason's pov

Should I tell her? I can't. "Just cause I'm putting a necklace on you doesn't mean I have feelings for you." I lie. "So our siblings are getting married." She says. I nod. "So what have you been doing the last 10 years?" "Not other girls that's for sure." I joke. "You liar." She mumbles, laughing. "Yeah what about you?" "Nashville, like we planned." She says, sounding steamed. She's mad I broke up our duo. I just wanted to go someplace else. I had to get away. "Did ya make it?" She smiles. "Maybe." She lightning quickly grabs her car door handle but I stop her from opening it. My hand holding her door shut.

Miranda's pov

"Let go of the door." I order through grit teeth. He moves his hand off the car. "Tell my brother I'm sorry." I mumble. "You can't just leave!" He gasps. My eyes go wide and I spin around, slapping him in the face. "Are you kidding me!!? You're telling ME I can't just leave!?! You're the one who just left!! You abandoned me!! And I never knew what happened to you?!!" I scream in his face. He shakes his head and sighs. "Honey, not for me! For our siblings. For Kasi and your brother." "Don't call me that." I mutter, leaning against my car and crossing my arms. "Just don't leave." "Fine for them. Not for you." I grumble pushing passed him and walking to the church. Sean falls into step beside me. "How'd it go between you two?" He asks. "You just had to fall in love with her." I mutter, my fists clenched. "I'm sorry. I can't help who I fall in love with!" He gapes.

Jason's pov

"I'm not mad at you. I'm just mad at this situation. I loved him and he just left. He didn't tell me anything. For a long time, I thought he hated me." No! I open the door. "That is not true!" I say. "Whoa! Eavesdropping much!" He gasps. "Not helping!" I grumble, glaring at him. He quickly exits. "That's the farthest from the truth honey. You're the only thing I missed about leaving." "Where did you go?! Why did you go?!" "I went everywhere. And the why I really don't know why." I admit with a smile. "That doesn't make any sense and you know it!" She gripes. I laugh and walk over to where she is. "Now sweetheart if you remember I did some crazy shit that didn't make sense." "Yeah like running out day after graduating and not telling anyone where you were going." "Yeah... Like that." I hold her hand and notice a wedding band. "Whoa wait! You're married?" She blushes. "I was married but he died." Oh. "Mind if I ask how?" "Yes I do mind. And what would that girlfriend of yours think if she saw us together like this!" She shouts, pulling her hand away. I try not to laugh. "Honey, she isn't my girlfriend, well I say she is but she's not. I just didn't want to come alone." "Oh did you say I was your girlfriend but I really wasn't too?!" Man she's mad. "Baby of course not. Like I said you were the one thing I missed." "So now I'm a thing to you!?" God! "Damn how do I talk to you without you getting pissy?" "Don't talk to me. All I wanna be is done with your selfish ways and all the games you play!" She says, stomping out. Well that didn't go as planned at all. If I can get her to like me again, I just might have a reason to stay.
