Kasi's pov

"Those two are destined to be together. She just has to leave the past right there in the past!" I cry. "I don't know. She was super upset, finding out he was here." Sean mumbles. "Please!!" I beg. He sighs. "Fine but only because I love you so much." He says, kissing me. I smile. I know just how to get them.

Jason's pov

I find my seat in the church. I see her across the room, talking to some guy. I hold onto my jeans to keep from getting ticked. I can't be mad. She doesn't want me anymore. She wanted me then. She asked where her seat was and they point at me! Uh oh. She's not gonna like the fact that we're sitting next to each other. She sits down with a smile. Hm, peculiar. "Hey." "Hey." She just looks forward, doesn't even look at me. "Are we-""Be quiet. They're about to start the wedding!" Ugh. I don't care about the damn wedding. I care about her. Us. And I want to get back together with her.

Miranda's pov

Why did they have to put us right next to each other!? I force a smile and ignore anything but my brother getting married. He tries to talk to me but I don't want him to. As Kasi walks down the aisle I feel him grip my hand. "Let go." I hiss through clenched teeth. He knows I won't make a scene in public at my brother's wedding. "Let me go!" I growl a little louder. "Only if you talk to me after this is over." He whispers. "Haven't we talked enough?" "No, we haven't." "Fine. Meet me at our old hiding place tonight."

Jason's pov

Old hiding place? Is she trying to trick me? Give me some fake place that I can't show up to? "You do know what I'm talking about don't you?" "No." "You remember! The cave we found as kids!" Oh! That place. "It's still there?!" I gape shocked. She nods. "Now let go of my hand." I do and we watch the rest of the wedding in silence and peace.

*after*

Kasi's pov

Yes! They're talking and walking to her car. But I can't tell what they're saying. He opens the door for her and she gets in. He waves and she drives away. I walk over.

Jason's pov

Someone rests a hand on my shoulder making me jump. I turn around. Kasi. "So how'd it go?" She asks. "How'd what go?" "Don't play dumb with me!" I smile. "We're gonna meet later." I mutter. "Ooh really?" She gasps excitedly. "Just to talk. Probably she'll just yell at me some more." I tell her. "I doubt it." She says, walking away.

Miranda's pov

I sit in my car and try to work up the courage to face him.

~flashback~

Everybody walked across the stage and I was looking for my boyfriend. He walks over, hugging me tight. "We did it, darlin'." He says. "We did it together." I reply, crying tears of joy.

*the next day*

I find a note on my pillow when I wake up. I'm sorry I had to leave without telling you but I knew you would want to come and I couldn't let you waste your life following my dumb ass. Go to Nashville. Become the amazing star I know you can be. I know you will be. I'll be listening on the radio. And I'll always love you. And that's how it ended. He left a note and just left.

~flashback over~

So you should know now why I'm skeptical to trust him again. He taps my shoulder, making me jump and stirring me from the bad memories. "So what did you want to talk about?" "Us. I'm not going to run away again." "Well forgive me if I have trouble believing you." "I didn't expect to stay but when I saw you in that church, all the feelings I had well have for you made me go crazy. I think you could be the one to keep me in one place." "I couldn't all those years ago." "But like we both agreed on, we're not the same people as we were all those years ago." "You're right. We're not. I'm not and I'm not trusting you. You wanted us to talk. We talked. Can I go now?" "I guess so."

Jason's pov

Oh wait! Her necklace. "Hey wait, I never did get to give you back your locket!" I gasp, pulling it out of my pocket. She stops walking but doesn't turn around. "Oh you probably don't even want it back." I say. "Yes I do!" She cries, spinning around. I smile. She reaches for it. "Nuh uh. I'll do it." I tease. She sighs and turns back around. I put it around her neck. "Just answer me one question and if you say no I'll leave and never come back." "What?" "Tell me you don't still like it when I do this!" I gasp, turning her around and kissing her.

Miranda's pov

I'm totally shocked. I push him off. I did miss him. I missed that. "You can't.... Tell me you didn't miss that!" He says. Of course I deny it. "Y-You said you'd leave if I said no." I choke out, staring at him shocked. "You say no but the look on your face says different." He says, holding my hands. I can't lie like this about how I feel. "I know the perfect way to tell you how I really feel."

Jason's pov

That is worrying me. She walks out to her car and comes back with her guitar. "I wrote this song 2 weeks after you left. It helped start my career in Music City. It got me a record deal." She says. If she says we're back together, I'll never leave again. She plays the chords. "I'm on the brink, I can barely think, with all of these thoughts runnin' through my head, wonderin' if I did ya wrong. No way I did you wrong. And I can't hide what I feel inside, just stop lovin' you even if I wanted to. I can't hold on but lettin' go is just somethin' I can't do, it's somethin' I can't do even if I wanted to." She lowers the guitar covering her eyes. "I-I can't." She whimpers, setting it down beside her. "I have to go!" She cries, grabbing it and running out to her car. I run out in time to see her drive away.
