Ah, 8th Grade. I transferred to a new tuition and a new section of the school, Building 1, top floor. I wasn't so hot on the new teachers either. There was Ms. Franz, a stuck-up, annoying teacher who would only talk about her policies and crap. No one cared and she put everyone to sleep. We had Ms. Brian The Nightmare again.
We still had Ms. Shale, and her classes were content as always. Ms. Kekkey left the school, and we got a teacher named Ms. Medina instead, younger and a total pushover. Finally, Ms. Failalot was a 7th Grade teacher so we had Ms. Mershin instead. She was a little scary. The saddest part was not having Ms. Fauna anymore.
You remember Selena from Remedial Spanish? She transferred into my section, and I met her through mutual friends since Dana was friends with her. We started talking one day with Ariana, who you may remember is Dana's cousin. I never talked to her much. Turns out we have a lot in common! We met through common love and appreciation of Nickelodeon's Victorious and Ariana Grande (I love her). Selena's a great person and really fun.
On 24th October, my birthday rolled around, and I didn't expect anyone to remember. But Selena remembered! It was a Thursday, and Selena told me to come outside so she could show me something. I didn't know what to expect, and there's this small intersection between the second half of the top floor and the stairs. Ms. Franz was there, scolding some kid as always, so we couldn't get past her. We watched her scold that kid for a while then we left giggling.
When we arrived into the class again, everyone announced "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!", giving me a smile. Then I looked at my desk: It was filled with gifts and cards from all my friends in the class. I ran to the desk and started reading the cards, but left the gifts for later. I got some really nice paperweights that looked like little clocks, you know like the olden kind from the Victorian era or something, except these were in a brand new glass casing, in a beautiful black box from Silica, all the way from London, she actually got it specially for me. Then I got doughnuts and other food which I loved because I love eating.
Dana and I had a system where we got each other meaningful cards on our birthdays where we said so much, and said a lot of stuff that was true. It was a change of pace from our usual friendship where we mocked each other all the time.
