You know what's funny about life?
How if you spend enough time in one place, with a lot of people, you learn which of them are true friends and which ones are worth leaving behind. You learn who's really there for you, who's your true friend, and who only uses you and doesn't value your friendship. I realize that now after writing half of my story in Icarus Academy. At first I thought Shane and Derek were my true friends. All the while, Chris, Ariana, Dana and Selena sat quietly on the sidelines of my life.
I found Chris and turns out he wasn't it either. Ariana, Dana and Selena revealed themselves to be the people who would be my true friends. And it's great when life does that for you - you learn who's truly there for you. But always remember, no one is a virgin, life f***s with everyone, but it can also be very rewarding.
If I never learned to accept Kolachi as a part of my life, I would've never met some great people, which would've been a great shame.
Sometimes people try to invade your life and your friend circle. One such person during 8th Grade was that girl Hanna, same one that Nami and I bunked class with. She started talking to Selena a lot, and before Art class, she told her: "Stop hanging out with Dana, Aaron and those people, hang out with me instead.". Selena told Dana, Ariana and me to sit with her in Arts, since about 6 people could sit per table in Art. The other 2 seats were empty.
Selena said she'd send us a note during Art. The four of us sat down on our usual table, near the door, since it made getting out faster. Or maybe we just sat there for no reason.
After the four of us sat, 2 seats were unoccupied. Hanna swooped in like a vulture and took the seat next to Selena, who was sitting next to me. Dana was opposite to me, and Ariana next to her. And I could hear every word Hanna whispered to Selena. If only she could fall in a pool of pirhanas and bitch-eating sharks. Those exist, right?
Our Biology teacher has a dog named Nisha. Hanna is more of a bitch than our Bio teacher's bitch.
After Hanna's failed attempts at separating Selena from us, she tried to be our friend. But Hanna is a bitch, she gossips about people. She befriends people, learns their dirt and tells everyone. I think she's related to Ariana, or maybe their parents are friends, I'm not sure.
Life gives you liberty to choose your friends. Don't choose bad people as your company like Hanna.
And so I don't end this chapter on a bad note, Dana makes amazing brownies.
