Tuitions

In Kolachi, it's normal for kids to take afterschool tuitions, since school only goes up to 1:45 PM, and 12:30 on Fridays. I went to two tuitions, one was for all subjects in general where I mostly just studied.

It was a quiet tuition with a nice old lady, Ms. Hamena, who was quite knowledgable. I also went to another tuition taught by Mr. Alan. He was another young teacher, probably late 20s. He had ADHD, but he was a nice and fun person, and a great teacher.

His tuitions had other kids who were also in grade 7. There was Zen, another kid from Icarus, Ahmed, same friend also from Icarus, but he left later. Zen and I became good friends through tuition. There were only two school's students. One was kids from Icarus, the two of us, and the others were kids from Kolachi High School, or KHS for short. Despite the name they teach from nursery to 12th Grade. It's the oldest and most prestigious school in Kolachi. It's very hard to get admission, since you can only try four times and they're very selective.

I believe you can try in Nursery, then in 3rd grade, 6th grade and 9th grade for the grades following those. Over a thousand children apply from the whole city and only a small fraction of them are chosen. But enough about the school, I had a chance to apply but I didn't take it. The kids I met were pretty nice.

There was another Shane there, another Mary, not my childhood friend Mary, although she also went to KHS. There was Perrie, a sweet, quiet and really smart girl, Aidan, a loud and obnoxious kid, sometimes funny too, and he was good friends with Shane. Mary was kinda dumb, or she just didn't try. Then there was Anushka, friends with Mary. All these kids were in Grade 7 like me. There was also another kid from Icarus, she's Mary's cousin, her name was Arina and she was in 6th Grade. She was obnoxious and snobby.

Once, Zen and I went to the other room because it was quieter and we could study easier. It was there that I found out that Zen had Arina's phone number, but Arina didn't have his. I decided to play a prank on Arina. I started texting through Zen's phone. Keep in mind that to Arina, this was a stranger who she doesn't know.

Zen: Hello

Arina: Who is this

Zen: I know who you are

Arina: Who is this

Zen: I know where you are

Arina: Where am I?

Zen: You're at tuition, and I'm going to find you when you come out.

Arina: Which tuition?

Zen: Alan's tuition. I know everything about you, Arina.

Arina: Really? Tell me something about myself.

Zen: You go to KHS, your full name is Arina Arif and you live 2 blocks from here.

Arina: How do you know that?

I didn't reply after that, and Zen and I tried to repress our extreme laughter as we walked toward the main room "casually strolling in for more work", when we saw everyone freaking out about that, and Zen deleted the messages off his phone. To this day, Arina still doesn't know it was me who did it, or that it was Zen's phone, but they did figure out it was prank.
