Aria's POV

Just as I suspected, the moment I walked into class everyone was immediately asking why I was in such a mess. Some whispering trying to guess, while others preferred to just straight up ask.

"Hey Aria." Alexis began, jogging over to me. "What happened to you?"

"Nothing much. You may understand in a minute. Either way don't worry, I'm fine. I may look all beat up but I don't feel a thing." I reassured her.

"Okay, if you say so. At least brush your hair down." She suggested, holding out a small brush.

I took it and quickly brushed my hair down, removing any knots in the process. I handed back the brush with a thank you and silently made my way down to my seat. Jaden was already there and the moment he saw me his eyes went wide.

"Woah! Aria! Are you alright? You look pretty beat up! Shouldn't you go see the school nurse?"

"I'm fine. I don't feel any pain."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded and sat down but the concern stayed on his face.

"Who did this to you? Was it Chaz?"

"Jaden, I am under no obligation to tell you what happened. You will understand in a minute."

Just then Chaz came bursting into the class and stormed down the stairs and up to me. He pulled me up by the collar and I could see the rage in his eyes alone.

"What do you want now, Prinston?" I asked, slightly annoyed.

"You think you can do that shit to me and get away with it?!?" He yelled.

"Well considering what happened last time you asked me such a question I would believe so. Although, as I said previously, coming out unscathed would be quite an issue." I replied plainly.

"Stop it with that monotone bullshit and say what you actually wanna say you bitch!"

"Alright then. I highly dislike you and wish that you would stop running that mouth and bagging on people you don't even know." I stated. "Stop bagging on us Slifers for the simple reason that we are  Slifers, and you are Obelisk. Just because the school system voted you stronger than most does not mean you have the privilege to be an asshole about it to people you don't even know. You call us idiots and weak when in fact some of us may be stronger in another way. For example physically."

"You're really starting to piss me off!"

"Then here's an idea, ignore me."

He then proceeded to punch me in the face once again. Again I didn't feel any pain and he let me drop to the floor. There were a collection of gasps from around the room and a couple yells.

"CHAZ! What the hell?!?" I heard Alexis scream, as she went to run down the stairs.

"What the hell man?!?" Jaden yelled.

I stood back up and gave hem both a look to stay where they were. The entire room was silent.

"You really want to fight me Chaz?" I asked.

"Not particularly but if you're gonna piss me off then yeah."

"Have I pissed you off?"

"Yes."

"So now you want to fight me for that reason?"

"Yes."

"Okay then. Hit me."

There were a few mumbles calling me crazy.

Chaz glared at me.

"Gladly."

He went to hit me again, I was about to grab his arm and flip him when the teacher pulled him off me. She seemed to have come in half way through the yelling without anyone really noticing.

"Okay you two! Outside now!" She demanded.

"But Aria didn't do anything wrong!" Jaden tried to protest.

"Jaden, who do you think gave Chaz those bruises?" I questioned.

Everyone looked at me in utter shock, as I followed Chaz and the teacher out the door.

After the short and annoying chat with our teacher we both got a slip telling us we had detention. Chaz almost flipped out but I didn't care. We did start a fight, so it was fair.

The rest of class went on as normal, other than the occasional quick glance towards me. Once both the morning lessons were over I went to the room I was told to have my detention in.

"Welcome to detention." The teacher greeted with a jokeful smile.

I simply nodded and sat down. After about 5 minutes Chaz walked in, clearly not very pleased.

"You're late." The teacher sighed.

"Just be glad I'm here. I shouldn't even be in this stupid place anyways."

"Chaz, we were both acting in a way we shouldn't have so we both deserve to be here. So stop complaining and deal with the circumstances." I stated.

"It's your fault in the first place." He growled.

"I wasn't the one to pick a fight in class. Nor was I the one to originally dissed another set of people just because of their grouping. You know there are laws against a specific form of that action."

"Why you little-"

"Chaz, just be quiet and sit down before I give you a lunch detention as well." The teacher demanded.

He did as told.

For the rest of detention I was busy doing more homework while Chaz was just resting, every so often sneaking a glare at me. I just ignored him and keep on with my work. By the time detention was over I had finished all my homework and Chaz was fast asleep. I had finished my duel homework by playing a couple other Slifers in my dorm.

I should probably wake him up. As much of an ass he is, him missing his next lesson will just lead to him causing more trouble.

I walked down to where he was laying and tapped on his shoulder. He shifted a bit and sleepily opened his eyes.

"End of detention. We might as well go to our 3rd lesson now." I said simply before walking out of the room and to my next class.

When I walked in Alexis was already there.

"Hey Aria." She greeted. "Here early I see. How was detention?"

"It wasn't anything special. I got some work done. I just came here because there was nothing else to do with the time left." I told her, walking to my seat.

"So what exactly happened between you and Chaz?"

"Do you really want to know?"

"Well...yeah."

I gave out a sigh. I had seem to be doing that a lot lately around these people.

"Alright. I was taking a walk and ended up outside the blue dorms. I took a quick look around with my eyes, then Chaz walked up acting all high and mighty saying that us 'slifers' don't have the right to stand near the place simply because we are apparently lower then the obelisks. I told him that just because I was a slifer didn't mean I wasn't allowed to go near a certain place and that I had the right to go where I pleased. He got pissed then said something he should have."

"Which was?"

"I won't say. It will only cause more trouble."

Ring!!!

"Time for class. You may want to go back to your seat." I advised, and she did so.

When Chaz walked in he glared at me once more as he also took his seat. As for Jaden he came rushing down the steps and asked me what happened. I relayed the story to him after class though. Of course skipping exactly what Chaz said. Jaden seemed worried but I assured him I didn't care in the slightest and that I wasn't going to let one idiot affect me.

Or rather I couldn't let it affect me.
