Aria's POV
I spent the rest of that afternoon making clothes out of all the shredded fabrics. I only managed to make 3 things with the time I had spare, before everyone got home.
I made a dress by combining the red curtains (for the skirt part) and some hick lace from another dress. I also made a shirt from another half dead top and dress. And a skirt from a pair of old leggins (for the belt) some black lace, from another dress, and a plaid shirt. (See image.)
It took a while but I was pleased with the results. I folded them up, as all the hangers were also in the trash, and placed them on the desk. I then moved the bag of fabrics into the wardrobe. I had also gotten new copies of all the text books, that had been torn up, and put them on my desk.
I looked to the clock to see it was almost 3:30pm. Most students would be on there way back by now. In fact I was surprised Jaden wasn't back yet. I expected him to be running to Bash down the doors to see if I was okay.
What am I doing thinking about him? It's not like my stupid feelings towards him are gonna change anything, whatever they are. I don't care either. All I care about is staying alive and becoming stronger.
I left my room and locked it behind me. I looked out into the forest, to see if anyone was coming. Nobody was.
I walked behind the dorm and sat a little ways from the edge of the cliff. I looked out at the vast ocean before me. It was shimmering, glittering, shining. As if to make up for the joyful emotions I lacked. It was beautiful though, I couldn't argue that. I just sat there, eyes closed, and listened to the sounds of the waves pushing back and forth, splashing against the rocks below.
It was peaceful, tranquil and serene. It felt warm.
"Aria?" I heard a voice call from nearby. "Aria?" It called again.
It was Jaden.
I ignored his calls and continued to listen to the waves. Wasn't long before he spotted me. I heard him walk over and sit beside me. I didn't move, nor respond to his presence.
"Aria? You sleeping?" He joked.
"Just be silent." I snapped. "I want to hear the waves."
"Oh. Sorry."
I sighed and closed my eyes again. It had barley been 10 seconds before he spoke again.
"What you listening to the waves for?"
"Because it's calming to me, unlike you. Now either shut up, leave or I shall throw you off the cliff myself." I growled.
He closed his mouth. I glared at him and he moved away slightly. I sighed again and continued my peace.
Jaden got bored fast because I soon heard him picking at the grass. I turned an eye to see him picking daisies and trying to fit them together.
What the hell is he doing? At least its quieter than talking.
I just sat there for a few more minutes. Enjoying the sound of the water and the warm glow of the sun. It was funny how I could feel so warm...yet be so cold inside.
Then I felt something fall into my head. I opened my eyes and pulled whatever it was off. In my hands was a crown...made of daisies.
So this is what Jaden was making?
I looked up to see him smiling smugly.
"Cool isn't it? Pretty too?" He questioned.
I stared down at it.
