Aria's POV

Fortunately by going to the duel first I managed to miss the lunch rush. Also, despite how barren the shelves seemed to be from the initial panic, I was lucky enough that the only options they had left were the only sandwiches I liked. I found a nice spot outside that nobody seemed to go to to eat. It was quiet and peaceful. Not even Jaden managed to find me and bother me there. After I finisher my meal and threw the left over rubbish away, I had my last two lessons of the day. I won't bore or bother you with the details of them, as they were just more normal mediocre classes. As soon as the final bell rang, I went back to my dorm room to take a nap and rest.

I say that but just as I was about to lay down there was a knock on my door.

"Who is it and what do you want?" I called out in a groan.

"It's Jaden. I thought we could all have a small party celebrating you beating Chazs' ass." He said gleefully.

I gave out a loud sigh.

"I don't like parties Jaden. Besides, I only won because Chaz was too busy being too self-absorbed and egotistical that he didn't think of the possibilities of me countering him the way I did." I explained. "Then there's the fact I was advised to be in Obelisk in the first place, so if anything we were on equal ground."

"I guess.. But still, we all chipped in on a cake and everything."

"Sorry man, but you can have my share. I don't like parties and I don't like cake." I told him. "So can you please leave me alone for once?"

"Fine. But I'll come back later and tell you when the parties over, so you can head down to have dinner." He said, before the sound if his footsteps echoed away.

As tired as I am, I should probably start my other homework.

I pulled myself off the bed and slumped down on my chair as I pulled out a couple text books from the draw. I had to read up on how dueling has changed over the years. Like the rules, cards, Kaiba corp and other related topics. I also had to read up about how certain strategies could help certain types of duelists.

I started reading through the history book and had just about finished the whole thing by the time Jaden came and knocked on my door again. I started walking over to the door, but fell with a thump to the floor as soon as I stood up off the chair.

"You okay?!?" I heard him call out on the other side of the door.

"Yeah I'm fine. Legs just fell asleep is all. Gimmie a sec."

I pulled myself up, with the help of the desk, and hobbled to the door. Leaning on it for support.

"Need any help?"

"No thank you. Remember what happened last time?"

He scowled, remembering the pain.

"Think you left a bruise."

"Not my fault. You grabbed me without warning, so of course my reflexes would kick in." I replied plainly, letting the door shut behind me before quickly grabbing a hold of the railing.

I slowly scuffled my way down until I finally felt my legs again, and entered the mess hall. There was still decorations from the party they had thrown. It was a mess.

I know it was somewhat rude for their 'Guest of Honour' to not show up, but loud social situations like that wasn't my style. I could barely make it through breakfast or dinner as it was. All too noisy and gives me headaches.

"So what's for dinner?" I questioned.

"Well we were too lazy to cook, so you can just grab some of the left over food from the party if that's okay." He replied with am awkward shrug.
