Chapter 17 - Discord

Jaden's POV (HOLY MOTHER OF RA!!!)

"I hate you." She growled, before leaving the room.

I dropped my head down.

"Why is she like this?! She was fine until that fight with Chaz started!"

Just talking hurt. During the fight with Chaz she also beat me pretty bad, not knowing what she was doing of course. Despite everything she says and the way she acts... I just can't be mad at her, let alone hate her.

"I guess she either didn't notice my condition...or doesn't care." I sighed.

I slowly got up and left the room, each step full of pain. I didn't eat anything. I wasn't in the mood. I made my way back to my dorm room and flopped on the bed.

"Why did she fall back into her darkness? Was it because I scared her?"

I thought back to the infirmary, when I tried to kiss her.

"Why did I do that?!?" I cringed. "I'm such an idiot!"

"Vrrr." I heard a voice.

Winged Kuriboh appeared.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Vrrrr vrr."

"I don't know why she's like this, Kuriboh." I sighed. "I guess it's just her. Maybe I made a mistake trying to fierce her into being my friend..."

Yes I can understand him. Don't ask why. I just can.

"Vrr! Vrr Vrr!?"

"You're right. I can't give up." I smiled. "But she's just so hurt, I'm afraid I can't do anything. If anything I'm afraid I'll just make her worse at this point... Did you see that dark aura around her?" I asked rhetorically. "It was coming from her deck! Every deck is connected to their holders soul. If her deck gave out darkness, then I'm afraid there may be no way to turn her good."

"Vrrr vrrrrr!"

"I guess I can try once more. But I don't wanna keep trying if she's so reluctant to let her walls down..."

I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes, although I was in pain I found it easy to fall asleep.

Aria's POV

I woke up the next morning bright and early. I'd usually enjoy the warmth from the sun, but eventually even I got sick of it. I wasn't in the mood and it felt like it was mock me. The skies being so happy and warm, while I just felt emptiness and cold. I got out of bed and glared at the sun again before quickly turning back around.

"When will all this summer end?" I questioned nobody.

I put on my shoes and grabbed my wallet. I shoved it in my small bag and exited my dorm...and so did Jaden. We exited out rooms at the same time.

He smiled goofily while I just shot a glare. I ignored him.

Looks like I went from one end of my stick to the other. Gotta calm down. Otherwise people will wanna talk to me and ask what's up.

I closed my door behind me and checked my watch. 7:00am. I had at least 30 minutes to kill. I went into the dining hall and went into the kitchen. The food everyone else had was terrible as normal. I found some eggs and broke them into a pan. As well as some left over bacon. I grabbed a glass bottle of J2O while I was waiting and uncapped it. I then placed my food onto a plate and entered the dining area again.

Then only seat left was next to Jaden. I sighed and made my way over.

I can't avoid him. I sit in class with him. Might as well get used to it again.
