Chapter 6

Omg, it was so colourful. Lights flashing everywhere, brightening every spot of the roller rink. We all walked up to the desk, ordered our skate hire and changed into them. While putting on my right skate, James sat down next to me.

"Hey, I need some advice. Want to help?" He asked me. I was a little surprised, because James never asked for help...or advice. I smiled slightly. "What's up?"

He smiled back, realising I didn't mind helping a friend. "I want to ask Chloe out on a date on Sunday night, next weekend. But I'm kind of scared she'll say no." He admitted looking a little sheepish. Now this was funny, Chloe Tanner saying no to James Nelson, yeah right, she liked James loads and always asked what to do to get his attention.

"Ask her out? Why don't you do it here? She would love that! And if she says no you have the comfort of a supportive friend." I reassured him, he needed to man up and do this already.

I got up and turned to see Luke looking at me, it was kind of awkward with us, that kiss last night was still on my mind and I gulped as I looked at him. He was gorgeous, as I looked into his eyes I felt like I was being drawn in. "Hey, are you coming?" He questioned, snapping me out of my little thought bubble. I nodded. "Of course!"

Roller skating was so much fun, James asked out Chloe (she said yes) and everyone had a great time at lunch as well. We were all heading back to mine now to watch, she's the Man. We all liked that film and were more than happy to watch it. We all laughed, gasped and laughed some more at it.

At around 10, Chloe, Amy and Olivia went home. Leaving Max, James, Katie, Luke and Sean. Shortly after, Sean and Emily disappeared in Em's room, Nate went over Rosie's for the night...again and Dylan went to bed. I sat there awkwardly while Luke looked the same as I felt. Something was going on between us, and I needed to clear the air.

"So, urm how's Vicki?" I asked quietly, not looking at him.

"She's good actually. Saw her before we went to the roller rink. I'm going over hers tomorrow and cutting it off though, she's to needy." He replied, making me laugh quietly and roll my eyes, same old same old with Luke. "Have fun" I teased.

He looked at me then, his gaze locking on mine, his eyes looking over my face for a moment, looking for something. I made a small smile and so did he, before collapsing into another silence. "Urm, want a drink of coke or something?" I questioned, getting up and going to the fridge in the kitchen. I opened the door and didn't even have time to reach the coke before he grabbed my waist and turned me to face him.

"Do you have feelings for me?"

"In your dreams, Luke!"

"Just wondering. And thanks, I'd gladly have some coke." He said looking slightly thirsty. I turned and grabbed the coke before I got two glasses down, pouring us each a drink. I handed him his, as I gulped mine down. After finishing our drinks, I started walking towards my bedroom. "Want to stay over tonight?" I asked as he followed me.

"Urm, sure. Where should I sleep?" He replied, looking at me carefully. I shrugged. "Wherever you want! Let me change into my pj's and then I'll help set up your bed, wherever your sleeping." Walking into the bathroom, grabbing my pj's on the way past my desk chair. I changed quickly, tired from all the day's activity. As I walked out of the room I saw him standing where I left him.

I frowned, thinking he would have gone to where he would be sleeping. I crawled into bed, still frowning at him. "Where are you sleeping, Luke?" I asked, turning my back to him. I heard clothes hit the floor and my bed dipped behind me, making me gasp. "What are you doing?" I asked, turning so I could look at him. He smiled sheepishly. "Well, I thought it would be nice to sleep with someone in the bed with you. Danger could be a minute away you know!" He stated.

Turning back to the wall and closing my eyes, a picture of my dad flashed through my mind. Suddenly, I registered two arms slipping round my waist, pulling me back into a hard chest. My breathing speed up slightly as I realised he was only in his boxers. Something was pressing against my back. Omg, was he getting aroused?

Luke's POV

She fit so perfectly in my arms and I couldn't believe I was getting aroused over her. This had never happened, well it had, but not with Sydney. My mind flashed to when she kissed me last night. That kiss felt amazing, I couldn't fall asleep that night, all I could do was think about her. Slowly, things were coming into place. Of course, why hadn't I thought of this sooner? I was falling for Sydney Fowler; I honestly never thought I would have that thought in my life. She wriggled in my arms, rolling over pressing her face to my chest in her sleep. What was she gonna do about Jamie?

I woke up to someone getting out of the bed. Frowning, I opened my eyes to see Sydney walking into her bathroom. Omg! I'd slept in her bed with her last night. She probably thinks I'm some sort of creep now. She walked back into the room quietly; her eye's landing on me immediately.

"Hey. You aright?" She asked looking at me slightly worried.

"Urm, yeah thanks. I'm gonna get some breakfast then go home, OK?"

"Sure, make sure no one spots you."

"OK"

I got up, getting dressed in yesterday's clothes, going out to the kitchen and getting a drink of water quickly. After, I went back to my house, going straight into my bedroom and changing into new, clean clothes. I closed my eyes thinking about Vicki and what her reaction would be like. I had done this numerous times before, I just needed to do this the same way as last time, so I got in my car and drove to her house.

"Luke?" She asked as she answered the door, looking surprised and excited to see me.

"Hey, I can't go out with you anymore Vicki. Sorry"

"WHAT? WHY? It's because of the Fowler girl right? Sydney?" She screamed at me making me flinch slightly.

"No, leave Sydney out of this. I don't want you anymore. Gotta go. Bye" I turned getting back in my car and driving over to Tristan's. He always supported me after I let one go, didn't need to, but he did anyway.

I stayed for about an hour, before heading back to Dylan's for the day. As I walked through the door Sydney was sitting there, on the sofa, making Dylan watch Glee, she loved that programme. "Hey guys. I need a cool down, just had an earful of Vicki-ness." I stated sitting on the end of the sofa.

"Shhh, please, I can't hear it." Sydney pleaded turning up the volume a bit. "Alright, don't wake the guys up, Syd!" Dylan said quickly. She glared at her brother then turned back to TV, Santana and Rachel were at the hospital. Apparently, Rachel was pregnant, but they just found out it was a false alarm. Omg, I even know the characters names, she makes us watch this way too much.
