FFMBBF - Chapter 16

Chapter 16

The whistle blew.

The boys started slowly walking towards the other team while me and the girls stayed by the flag, protecting it. I saw Emma and Vicki getting closer to us, yet no-one had noticed but me. I started to move forward slowly. "Time to defend girls!" I shouted as they got closer. They noticed Emma and Vicki and all became scared but me and Chloe. We descretly fist bumped and started walking forward. Our shirts were on our right sides of our bodies. When we got close enough to Emma and Vicki we just stood there staring at each other. Everyone had stopped to see what would happen.

We smiled at each other, when suddenly Emma and Vicki tried to do a twin move and tried to grab mine and Chloe's shirts, but we turned to the right so they both fell on the floor. Smiling, Chloe and I leaned over, took Emma's and Vicki's shirts and ran to Mrs Johnson, handong her the shirts. That gave us two points and and made the other team lose two players.

We ran back to the flag smiling, passing the pair on the way. Now everyone was back to work. I suddenly got an idea and whispered to Chloe. I saw Luke wasn't busy yet so I called him back quickly, telling him the plan and telling him to tell the other boys. After me and Chloe hid in the bushes around the field, slowly making our way round while the boys distracted the other team.

Almost near the flag, Chloe stepped on a twig and the sound ecoed. I quickly looked out the bush to see one of the boys from the other team scanning the bushes. I stopped dead and held my breathe while Chloe did the same. He gave up looking and turned around again focusing on protecting the flag. We got closer and closer. When it was within reach, I quickly shot my hand out the bush and snatched the flag. My team saw and knew that was the signal that we were about to run back to Mrs Johnson.

Me and Chloe emerged from the bushes without anyone seeing from the other team and started sprinting back to Mrs Johnson. About half way I heard someone shout "They got our flag!! Get them!!" I speed up, leaving Chloe slightly behind and once the boys gained on me, I knew my plan was working even more than I hoped.

The other teams boys had me trapped while they circled me, but what they didn't notice was my teams boys sneaking up behind them. They knicked their shirts and started howling, distracting the others while I ran the rest if the way and won the game for us. Our team bundled on top of each other, boys on the bottom of course.

"Ok, well done purples. Now we are gonna do a target match. Each team will go back to their corners." Mrs johnson started explaining while the greens started putting their shirts back in place. "Then you will have 2 minutes to agree on one person to target on the other team. If you get their shirt, the game is over and you win. Now go!"

We all went back to our corners. As soon as we got to our corner we all looked at each other before saying in unison "Emma Parker!" We all nodded and got ready. The other team were still discussing. Once they finished they turned to us and all looked at me with a glint in their eyes. Shit! I quickly turned to my group as I was in the front.

"Guys, I think I might be the target. They are all staring at me. it may be a trick but we all watch out for each other, OK?" They all nodded before I turned back round. Right then the whistle blew and the other team sprinted towards us. This was going to be easy.

Emma was leading the group in their running triangle thingy so I had his. I told my group to stay there, before I started jogging towards the others. As they got closer, I dropped to the ground and rolled continuously. As I passed Emma I grabbed her shirt and kept rolling until they had all run past me.

"Did it!" I shouted laughing, as my team slowly joined in and realised what I had done. The other team looked murderous and were glaring at me.

"Well done Sydney, now everyone hand in your shirts and go get changed. Well done to both teams but a great well done to Chloe and Sydney who helped their team win both games. Now, go!" Mrs Johnson said as we all got closer to her. I handed in both shirts and went to get changed. Chloe and Luke joined me on my way back to the changing rooms and we couldn't stop laughing at how stupid they had been to thing running for us would have worked.

After laughing some more, changing and being glared at by Emma and her followers on her team, we finally left the changing room. We met up with Kim and I asked if she wanted to come over tonight to. She said yes, so we started walking to the car. Luckily, Dylan brought the big 11 seater car, so we all managed to fit.

Once we got home we were all laughing so hard our sides hurt. we had told the guys about PE and then started talking about more random stuff making us laugh. Once we were inside, me, Kim and Chloe went to my room and started working as a three on our english essay.

After two hours, we had finally finished our essay. I could smell pizz and jumped off my bed and started walking towards the kitchen with the girls behind me. As I rounded the corner I saw Jesse, who was in a pizza hut uniform, and Luke glaring at each other.

"Ohh, pizza!" Kim, Chloe and I chimmed at the same time making the boys stopt their glaring and turn to us. We walked towards the pizza and started to each the margarita one. Jesse smiled at me as I sat at the table while Luke glared at him more. I frowned, slightly confused before taking another bit of my pizza.

Shortly after, Jesse left. But not before talking to me and giving me a good night kiss. Kim went and sat with dylan on the sofa and they started to snuggle and get all cute. Nate was staring at Chloe in a daze, Luke wa.......woah what? Nate staring at Chloe in a daze? my head shot to my brother and I noticed he hadn't moved. He was definitely staring at Chloe in a daze. I started walking towards him.

I tapped his shoulder bringing him out of his daze and back to earth. "Were you just staring at Chloe? Checking her out? Whatever you boys do!" I whispered. He turned to me a shocked expression on his face. He blushed slightly answering my question without even speaking. He liked Chloe. I could already tell. "It's alright, I won't say a thing to anyone." I told him before joining Chloe sitting in the middle of the floor.

Over dinner, we decided to watch a movie. News Years Eve. Sure new years was like 5 months away but still, it's a good film. As the half an hour into the film my bum started to hurt, and so did Chloe's I guess, because we both stood up at the same time. There was one seat left on each sofa. One next to Luke, the other next to Nate. I decided to help Nate out so I sat next to Luke. Chloe hesitantly went to sit next to Nate.

After another few minutes of watching I felt an arm around my shoulders. Looking up I noticed Luke had his arm around my shoulders. By the end of the film I was half asleep, snuggling up to Luke while Chloe did the same with Nate. I couldn't keep my eyes open. The last thing I remember was being in Lukes embrace, seeing the same with the other four before falling into a nice, peaceful sleep.
