Chapter 15
I woke up to the sun shining in through my window, the kiss still running through my mind. But my first actual thought was that I didn't have any nightmares last night. I don't know if I'm finally starting to recover or it was because of Luke's kiss. I had a funny feeling it might have been a little bit of both. But all I knew was it was thursday and I only had one more day before the dance. I got out of bed and had my shower, getting dressed after I dried myself. After I decided to straighten my hair.
Once I was completely done I walked into the kitchen and instantly smelled bacon. I grabbed a few pieces putting them on my plate and sitting at the dining table. Nate was already up, but he looked a little stressed. "What's up, big bro? You looking a little streesed at the moment!" I asked feeling a little concerned.
Nate looked up at me with confusion written across his face. " I don't know if I still love Rosie, I mean...I've started to grow feelings for someone else but she is already taken and I like Rosie...Just not in the way I used to." He blurts out. "What should I do, Syd?"
I looked at him, slightly shocked. Nate didn't go for taken girls, but I guess everyone changes. "First you need to calm down. Then you should tell Rosie how you really feel today at school." I told him, he nodded and continued with his breakfast. "Will I...ermm...will I hurt her, do you think?" I looked at Nate feeling sorry for him. "Maybe, depends if she still likes you that way."
Nate nodded, before getting up, putting his empty plate in the dishwasher and walking back towards his bedroom. I qucikly ate my bacon, before putting my plate in the dishwasher and going back to my room to put some mascara and lipgloss on for a change.

As we pulled up to school, the car was flooded with people as always. I got out, ready to go find Kim or Chloe, when a hand clasped my wrist. I turned round to see Nate, looking slightly worried as he looked down at me. "Can you come with me to do this....I don't think I have the power to do it without you. You always help me, baby sis."
I gave hime a small smile, nodding my head. He immediatly told Luke, Dylan and Sean he was heading to their usual spot, their table in the courtyard and we started walking with everyone following. I saw Rosie waiting for Nate with a smile on her face as we approached the table, I felt sorry for her. After eceryone was seated, Nate turned to Rosie. "We need to talk...maybe in private?"
Rosie's face turned confused as she opened her mouth to reply. "Anything that needs to be said, you can say infront of the crew...don't be shy, Nate." She touched his arm, probably meaning it as a comforting move...but by the way Nate tensed I knew what he was thinking. I knew this wasn't going to be good, they were one of the top couples at school.
Nate turned his head slightly away so she couldn't see him properly. "I don't know how to say this, because I know it will hurt you...and I never wanted to be the one who hurt you. I thought they would stay and only become stronger but their fading, Rosie."
Rosie's face turned even more confussed. "What's fading? You can tell me, babe, I'll be here to help you get through!" She replied, her voice sounding concerned....probably at the thought of the hard times he was going through, even though the only hard time he was having was breaking up with her. But when the next words left his mouth and her face went pale, I knew she understood where this was going.
"My feelings towards you...they're fading. Fading into nothing more than friendship. And I'm sorry, I know I'm hurting you. I just don't feel the same anymore." Nate finally explained. At that, everyone around us gasped at him. Rosie's eyes held hurt, but her face was red with anger. "There's someone else, isn't there?" Her voice sounded weak and I couldn't be there anymore, so I decided to leave and go look for Kim and Chloe.
