Chapter 12

Sydney's POV

It's been two weeks since I started going out with Jesse. And everyday I get more and more surprised. When I'm around Jesse I don't flinch at his touch, it's warm and makes me feel safe. But sometimes I can't help but compare it to Luke's.

Dylan and Nate are still super protective over me with Jesse cause he is......well was, Jamie's best friend and all. Emily and Sean are going through a little bump in the road, they went to a party last week and Sean got a little drunk and started calling Em names, he's been begging for her back since.

Luke has a new slut. Natalie Ballman. Your typical dumb, blonde hair, blue eyes type of person. I think she was one of Emma's little followers until she started going out with Luke....Emma wasn't very happy that her friend was going out with her man.

Anyway, tonight is my third date with Jesse and I couldn't wait. I put on a dark purple dress that came down to my thighs, a pair of nude heels and a creamy coloured cardigan. I make my way towards the living room and as soon as I step in everyone's attention focuses on me.

"You look gorgeous!" Emily shrieked, running over to me and moving some strands of my now curly hair.

I looked around at the boys. "Nice look, Sydney. Have fun." Sean says. Both my brothers nod, while I look over at Luke. His gaze is on me and looks slightly hungry and maybe a little jealous. I brush it off as our eyes connect and it's gone.

The doorbell ring and I look around. "Be home by midnight!" Nate says like he's my dad. The thought brings tears to my eyes. I see the guys looking at me with concern, while I stopped in their view. I quickly shook my head, gave a small smile, turning to go open the door.

Jesse was taking me to a club apparently. As we pulled into the car park the neon lights were shining down on us. I exited the car after Jesse opened it for me and we walked hand in hand to the line. It was quite long but not long enought to have us wait foor two hours.

We stood in line for about a half hour before we were let into the club. The music was pumping loudly through the base. I was dragged to the dance floor first. Smiling, laughing and dancing. Everything felt good and I felt so safe with Jesse.

"You having fun, baby?" Jesse asked as we walked towards the bar. I smiled at him. "Yes! Thank you so much."

Jesse called the bartender over. "Can i get two malibu and coke's please?" He asked once the bartender arrived. The bartender nodded and grabbed some glasses filling them half with malibu and half with coke. I turned around and froze. I couldn't believe it. My eyes didn't leave him and I could hear Jesse faintly asking if I was ok. Jesse noticed my eyes weren't focused and followed my eye line. Jamie.

Jamie looked up at that moment and his eyes were cold and dark. His eyes flicked from me to Jesse and back to the girl he was dancing with. Jesse put his drink down on the table. "I've gotta go toilet, see you ina minute." I nodded and he walked away.

"Hey beautiful, long time no see." Jamie said in my ear as his hand trailed down my body. I froze at his touch. He grabbed my arm and pulled me to a dark corner, the whole time me trying to free myself. He pushed me against the wall and started running both hands up my body while kissing my neck. A tear fell down my cheek. He grabbed my breast and squeezed a little to hard.

"P-please Jamie. Stop!" I cried but he didnt. Next thing I know he's gone and on the floor with Jesse punching him. I turned and ran out the club. Once outside, I grabbed my phone and dialed my home number.

"Can you come get me? I'm at red's." I said through my sob's, as soon as it was answered.

"Star, what happened?" Luke asked sounding slightly worried.

"Can you just come and get me? P-p-please?" I stuttered. I heard Dylan and Nate in the background asking what was going on. He sighed. "I'll be there in a minute!" Then the line went dead.

Luke's POV

I hung up the phone and practically ran out the door. I could hear Dylan, Nate, Sean and Emily calling after me but I didn't stop till I got back to my car. I jumped in and started to drive towards the club star had said.

Speeding down the road, I couldnt stop my mind from wondering what had happened. She was crying on the phone, for good sake!

I pulled up to the club, seeing her sitting outside. I got out the car and ran to her. As soon as I reached her sat next to her and embraced her into a hug. She sobbed onto my shoulder. "C'mon star. Let's get you home."

Just as I got her in the car I heard a grunt and turned to see both Jesse and Jamie being thrown out of the club. My blood boiled. Why was Jamie hear? Something must have happened. Jesse spotted me and ran towards me. "Take her home now, before he try's again." He said before opening her door and kissing her, saying goodbye then leaving.

I got in the car and started the drive home. I was so going to get it when we got back to her house. Dylan and Nate won't let me hear the end of not telling them what was going on before rushing out the door. Even if I didnt know myself.
