Lucy woke up, startled, unaware of where she was. Memories of the previous day came back, and she calmed down as she took in her surroundings. She looked to her right and saw Gray, still asleep next to her. She poked him, but he was still in a very deep sleep and she got no response. That scared her a bit, until she remembered him talking about how he had gone on a lot of jobs recently and she decided to let him sleep in and wake up when he was fully rested. She got up and went to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. She giggled when she saw the water temperature dial. It was just your standard dial, a red strip on one side and a blue on the other, but halfway down the red side was a label that said 'Lucy' and almost all the way on the blue side was a label that said 'Gray'. She turned the dial to 'Lucy' and jumped in. When she was finished in the bathroom, she checked on Gray. Still asleep. She went downstairs and started to make breakfast. She flipped the pancakes with skill and precision, radiating a wonderful smell through the house. She finished, and went to check on Gray again.
She went into the bedroom quietly, looking over to the bed. He moved slightly, but didn't get up. Lucy went over to his side of the bed so she could see his face, and he was still asleep. She figured that he had slept long enough, and breakfast was going to get cold.
"Gray." She said, not very loud, but loud enough for him to hear her. No response.
"Hey, Gray." She said a bit louder, poking his arm. Still nothing. Then, her best idea of all time hit her.
"Gray-Sama~... Juvia has been watching you for hours now~...It's time to get up~" She did her best Juvia impression. He grunted and turned flat on his back. She sighed and glared at him.
"Alright, mister. You asked for it." She said. She stepped back a bit, then ran toward the bed, throwing herself on top of him.
"Ah! What? Lucy?!" His eyes snapped open when she landed on him. She giggled because of how confused he was.
"Come on! Get up!" She she got off him and pulled his arm so he would sit up.
"Okay, okay!" He stood up."What's the big hurry for?"
"I made pancakes for breakfast, and they're going to get cold if you wait any longer!" She said with her hands on her hips."And I know you're hungry, I could hear your stomach across the room!" She laughed. They walked downstairs together and sat at the table. The pancakes were the perfect temperature, and there was no conversation while they ate.
"So what are we going to do today?" He asked.
"I have no clue." Lucy said, cleaning up the kitchen.
"Okay." He said. He stood up from the table and pushed in his chair."I'm going to go take a shower and all that fun stuff."
"Okay." Lucy replied as she cleaned a pan.
He went upstairs and into the bathroom. He noted the labels and turned it to 'Gray'. He guessed that Mira had set the temperatures, because if Erza had, she would think of something that he had done to her in the past and switched the red and blue around so he would be scorched, pass out, and die in a boiling inferno.
Lucy sat on the bed and continued the book she had been reading the previous night. Gray walked into the room ten minutes later. Lucy looked up and hid her intense blush behind the book. Gray was only wearing a light blue towel around his waist.
"Um, Gray?" Lucy said from behind her book.
"Yeah?" He responded.
"Uh... Why are you only wearing a towel?"She blushed even more, if it was possible.
"Oh." He looked down."Sorry, I didn't notice."
"How could you not notice something like that?" She lowered her book and her blush disappeared.
