Lies

I walked out of the school dragging my feet.

What am I gonna tell Tae? I can't just straight lie to him, he's my best friend. Suddenly an arm wrapped around my shoulder. I looked up quickly, it was Tae. My heart began to flutter.

"Hey Kookie!" He hugged me, our cheeks pressed together. I felt my body heat up and my heart race.

"Uh...hi Tae" I mumbled. He pulled back and looked at me.

"What's wrong Kookie?" Tae grabbed my shoulders and held me still. I gulped, I wasn't sure what to say. I saw Yeri far away in the distance. She was kissing Hyungwon. She turned and looked at me directly in my eyes. I saw the fire. I looked back at Tae.

"Uh...nothing...I'm just still pretty awkward about this morning" I laughed nervously and looked down, rubbing my neck.

"Oh. It's nothing Kookie. Just don't think about it" Tae grinned. I looked up at him. Yeri walked up to us, I instantly looked down.
"Hey babe" she said to Tae cutely. I heard Tae giggle, and their lips colliding. I still refused to look up.

"What's wrong with him?" She asked.

You know what's wrong you fucking slut! I gritted my teeth.

"Oh, he's just not feeling good today" Tae said.

"I see..."

"I'm gonna go, see ya Tae" I looked up at Tae as I walked away.

"Are we gonna hang out later?" He asked. My eyes flashed to Yeri, I could see the fire burning in her eyes. I shook my head.

"I can't today, sorry" I lied. Tae's face grew sad, Yeri had a satisfied smile on her face. She laid her chin on his shoulder.

"You can hang out with me" she said cutely. Tae looked at her and smiled, I knew he was faking.

"C'mon" she took his hand and walked away. My heart throbbed.

Tae, I'm so sorry. It's best if you didn't know. I turned and headed home.

"What's wrong?" Jung said as he entered my room. I shook my head and didn't look up from my pillow.

"Something must be because you haven't left your room since you got home"

"That means nothing" I said. He sighed. He shut the door and walked away. I hugged the pillow tighter to my chest. I heard another knock. I jumped up.

"What?!" I shouted. The door creaked open. Walking inside was Tae. He grinned at me.

"Hey..." I said softly.

"Hey" he said happily. He shut the door and skipped to my bed and sat down.

"What's up?" He asked. I shook my head in response. Tae frowned at me.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, just tired" I lied and laid back onto my pillow. I sighed and closed my eyes. Something warm slipped around my waist, I looked down, it was an arm. I turned my head and saw Tae snuggling close to me. My heart thumped against my chest, I quickly turned my head away to not show my red cheeks.

"Um...T-Tae?" I stuttered

"Hm?" He said lowly.

"What are you doing?"

"Snuggling my warm Kookie" he giggled.

His...Kookie? My heart thumped louder from those words. He let out a deep sigh, his breath grazed the back of my neck. Goosebumps formed on my neck. I clutched the sheets under me and closed my eyes.

"Did you catch Yeri doing anything today?" He asked. My heart stopped and my muscles locked.

"N-no why?" I still refsued to open my eyes.

"You just acted like she did something and you didn't wanna look at her"

"I just don't like her" I muttered.

"Why?"

"She's not good for you, did you forget about the pizza parlor?"

"I did, until now" he let me go.

"I'm sorry Tae, I just don't think she's right for you" I sat up. Tae just sat on the edge quietly and stared at his feet. I closed my eyes and hung my head.

Should I tell him? I can't just let him live like this. I love him...
