The Dog

"Hey...wake up, sleepyhead", Alex whispered to Logan while tickling his ear.

"Wh-what?" Logan asked. 

"You promised me that we're going to adopt a dog. Get up now, sleepyhead" Alex whispered.

"What time is it?" Logan asked then checked his phone. "God, Alex, it's still 6 am. Go get some sleep."

Alex raised her eyebrows. "Okay, fine. Maybe I'll look for someone who's willing to join me look for some pet shop." she said then she got up from their bed and went to the bathroom.

Logan sighed. "Okay, okay. You win. I'm getting up now."

He knocked the bathroom door. "Hey, Alex. Okay, I'm sorry. It's just that...I'm not a morning person, okay? Alex? Please talk to me."

Alex opened the door. "I'm not forcing you to come with me. If that's what makes you happy then fine."

"Well, waking up early doesn't make me feel happy. But seeing you unhappy makes me feel terrible." Logan said.

Alex smiled. "Okay fine. Get dressed."

"We're good?" Logan asked.

"We're good." Alex said then gave him a quick kiss.

After their breakfast, they began looking for some pet shop. At exactly 12 noon, they already found 25 pet shops but Alex chose none of them. Unfortunately.

"Hey, Al, seriously? What are you looking for a dog? I mean, they're all cute and the same." Logan said while resting on a bench.

"Well, I don't feel any connection. Do you know what I mean? I'm just not satisfied. Sure, they're cute but I need connection." she said.

"What? I don't get it." he said.

"Okay. It's just like us. Like me. There are many guys out there. They're all cute and the same. But I chose you. Why? Because we have "this" connection. Now, you understand?" she said.

"oh..okay." he said.

"Wait..are you blushing Mr. Lerman?" she teased him.

"Me? Oh, no. I'm not. Maybe I just have rosy cheeks." he said.

Alex laughed at this. Meanwhile, Logan's phone rang. It's Lindsey.

"Yup. Linds what's up?" he said to her sister.

"Oh nothing. Alex told me that you're going to adopt a dog and you're looking for  pet shop right now. Have you already found one?" Linds asked.

"Well, if you're asking if we found a pet shop, yes, we have. In fact, we've found 25 pet shops. But still, no dog." he said.

"Hm, why don't you check out Bark n Bitches?" she said.

"Bark n Bitches? Where is it?" he asked his sister.

"Oh, just along Fairfax Avenue. Here in LA." she said.

"Okay. we're going to check that out. Ok, we've got to go. Thank you." he said.

"Ok. have fun and say hi for me to Alex." she said then she hang up.

"Is that Linds?" Alex asked.

"Yup. She recommends a pet shop." he said.

"Really? Wow. What's it's name?" she asked.

"Bark n Bitches. It's along the Fairfax avenue. Come on, let's get going."

After a little while, they arrived at the so-called shop.

"So...this is it. I just hope this is the last one." she said.

"Me too. Let's go." Logan said.

When they entered, they saw a lot of dogs. Of course, it's a pet shop. Alex looked around. Still, none.

"Uhm, excuse me. Is this all the dogs that you have?" Alex asked the personnel.

"Yes, ma'am." he said.

"Are you sure? Well, i still haven't found it." she said.

"Found what?" the personnel asked.

"A dog  who's connected to me." she said.

"Well, there is this dog. It arrived yesterday. Want to take a look?" the personnel asked.

"Yeah sure." she said. "Logan!" she gestured him to come.

They entered a room. It's a nursery for dogs. There, she saw a little dog. It's a golden brown dog. It looks weak.

"This is Leon. Our team found him along the streets. It's very weak." the personnel said.

Alex looked at it. She just can't take her eyes off of it. At that very moment, she knew that she found it.

"I'll take him" she said.

"Woah, wait. Are you sure? He said he's weak." Logan said.

"Well, we will take care of him. Are we?" she asked Logan.

Logan sighed. "Yes we are."

After they paid for it, the personnel recognized them. "Wait. You're Logan Lerman, right?"

"Yes, I am. And this is my girlfriend, Alexandra Daddario" he said.

"Oh. Hi. Uhm, Logan, can I get a picture with you? Please." the personnel said.

Obviously, he's not familiar with Alex. So, he only asked Logan.

"Oh, sure." he said.

"Ok. Let me take it." Alex said.

After that they already went to their car. Logan opened the radio and the song that was playing is "Levon" by Elton John.

"I want a new name for him. I don't like Leon. Any idea?" she asked Logan

"What about Raygun? It should be spelled like this: R-A-Y-G-U-N. Not R-E-A-G-A-N" he said.

"Seriously?" Alex said while laughing. Then she heard the song on the radio.

"Hold it! I know! Levon! That's it!" she said.

"Levon? Like the song?" he asked.

"Yeah. The song." she said.

"Well, hi, Levon. Welcome to the family" Logan said to the dog.
