TAYLOR POV

The next morning I woke up to a text from Adam: are we still on for tonight? i told Lottie and she can't wait to see you in your 'princess dress'.

I replied to tell him that of course we were still on for tonight and I couldn't wait to see either of of them. I then gave him the details of where to go and when. I wouldn't be able to see them before the show but we would meet up afterwards for dinner.

I had never been so excited and anxious about a show. Like, even when reporters were there to review our performances I didn't get like this.

"What's up Taylor? You look like a firework ready to be set off!" My friend Marlie said as we got ready for the show.

"Um....nothing...." I replied, visibly blushing.

"It wouldn't have something to do with that hunky photographer? You guys seemed to click!" She replied.

"Ok...."I caved, " Adam and Lottie are coming to see the show tonight and then we are all going for dinner. And yes I like him....and yes he likes me....and....yeah..."

"Wow! I have never, in the 3 years knowing you, seen you like this over a guy. He must be pretty special!" She said smiling, and making me blush even more.

ADAM POV

Lottie insisted on dressing up for our date with Taylor tonight, which meant that it was all systems go when she got back from school. She chose a pretty red dress with black shoes and a matching black flower hair clip. I was wearing nice pants and a dress shirt, but no tie, with my nicer black shoes. We bought a small bouquet of roses to give Taylor afterwards as well.

As soon as we got to the theatre we went to the box office, where Taylor said there would be tickets for us. In the end the seats we had were the front row of the upper balcony, meaning that we had a great view of the stage from basically directly in front of it, without having to crane our necks up. From when the lights went down until the show ended, Lottie was mesmerised. I had barely ever seen her so silent, with her eyes so wide and smile so big. I was equally awed by the performers, especially Taylor. Yes, I'd seen the whole run through when I was taking photos but it was very different not having a camera in front of my face and having the atmosphere from the audience there. As soon as the show was done and the cast had taken their bows, I made my way to the stage door carrying Lottie so she didn't get lost in the crowd. Taylor had told me this morning to wait for her at the stage door so we could go to dinner.

"TAYLOR!" Lottie squealed, spotting Taylor making her way through the door before I did.

"Hey Lottie-bug! Did you enjoy the show?" Taylor asked, taking Lottie from my arms into hers and talking to her directly.

"It was so bright! I loved it! Look we got you flowers!" Lottie exclaimed, trying to get the flowers from my hands.

"Why thank you! And may I say you look rather lovely tonight Miss Charlotte!" Taylor said, looking directly at me and winking as she thanked us, and making Lottie laugh a little and blush.

"So, where to for dinner?" I asked them both.

"Well there's this really cute little french restarant around the corner....they have a great kids menu too...." Taylor said as we walked away from the theatre.

"Sounds good to me!" I replied, slipping my arm around her waist as she carried Lottie and we made our way around the corner.

When she said a really cute little restaurant she was right, it was quirky with little round tables looking like a french bistrot and all the waiters were french speaking.

"Um....I'll have the steak-frites please....and for Lottie the children's steak-frites please." I ordered, looking at Taylor.

"I'll have the seabass please." She ordered.

We kept our conversation to small talk, mostly Lottie talking about what she had missed at school last week and what she wanted to do this weekend, while we ate. I also insisted on paying for dinner, much to Taylor's insistence that she pays, since she had procurred the tickets to the show and had invited us out in the first place.

"So, do you want to come back to our house? Or...." I started to suggest to Taylor.

"I think I'm going to go home tonight.....I'm pretty exhausted after the show and we only have 3 more till the run is over, so it's all systems go." She replied as we walked towards the subway station. Lottie had fallen asleep halfway through dessert and was now asleep on my shoulder.

"So when can I see you again?" I asked, trying not to sound too desperate.

"Well....from Friday morning I'm free for a while.....so maybe this weekend?" She replied.

"How about I come collect you for dinner on Friday, just the two of us, and we see how that goes.....then we can discuss the rest of the weekend." I said, making sure she knew I wanted it to be just the two of us.

"How about you come over for dinner at my apartment, just the two of us, on Friday?" She replies, smiling at me.

"It's a date!" I reply, pulling her into my side more and placing a light kiss on her head, followed by one on the lips. It was slightly awkward with Lottie in my arms but I made it work.

LOTTIE POV

I pretended to be asleep as daddy carried me towards the subway station with Taylor, but I was listening the whole time.

So daddy and Taylor were going to have dinner without me....maybe they wanted grown up time. That's what my friend says her parents have. They go out for dinner and stuff. But Taylor isn't my mommy.....I want her to be but I don't know if daddy and Taylor agree.

Fingers crossed.  I want to spend all my time with Taylor and I can see that she makes my daddy happy too.

I peeked my eyes open and watched daddy kiss Taylor ON THE LIPS! They must really like each other!
