*Flashback To When Serena Talked To Him Number 2*
"So do you know where the new boy is?" I asked, while my eyes darted around the gym searching for the new boy I knew was in my gym class, whose name I still wasn't aware of or maybe I had heard, but forgot.
He may be in my math class, but my class contained forty students, now I couldn't remember everyone's name.
"Umm no. Why are you even looking for him?" Anaya replied, fiddling with her backpack, as I placed my feet on the bleachers in front of me.
Since it was the beginning of a new semester, and so none of the gym teachers had anything quite planned for the block. All they had done was explained what they expected from us, assigned our gym lockers, and had given us a t-shirt for gym. After we were done that, the teachers had told us we could chill for the rest of the class, but couldn't leave the gym. Fine with me.
"No reason. Who cares?" I said, standing up when there was no sign of the dude. "Let's go see what Tyler's doing."
I skipped down the bleachers, Anaya following behind. When I was at the end, I turned towards my left where a few boys were sat playing a game. Anaya's crush Derek, being one of them.
"Hey Tyler, and people," I greeted, standing behind Tyler who held cards in his hand, calling bs for some reason. Why did the guys even had cards with them? No idea.
He paused the game, then looked behind him, and sent a smile to me, and a nod to Anaya.
"Hey guys, wanna play bs with us?" Tyler asked, moving to the side to make some space for us. Two boys were sat on the bleachers above there's. Another was sat on the one below them, and Tyler and Derek were sat across each other. Anaya took the seat below Derek, turning to face him, while I did the same except I sat on the boy's other side next to Tyler.
I noticed the way Derek shyly smiled at Anaya when she whispered hi.
"So how do we play?" I asked, while Derek shuffled the cards.
"So everyone gets seven cards each, and someone says a number. Everyone has to put down a card with that number on it in the middle, even if you don't have it you need to place a card in the middle. But, if someone thinks you're lying and you don't have the card, then they say bs. If the person who called bs is wrong they take all the cards in the pile. However if they were correct the person guilty takes all the cards. The point is to place all your cards in the pile without being caught," one of the boys explained, as Derek started handing out seven cards to each person.
It was a pretty fun game when you got the hang of it. At times I would place a random card in the middle casually, other times I would make myself look suspicious on purpose. I was caught a few times, but it wasn't a big deal considering how many times I fooled the boys.
"I win! I win!" I exclaimed, doing a fist bump in the air. Tyler chuckled, as I got up, and did a victory dance. "So what happens now?"
"Nothing," Tyler responded. "We keep playing until there's only one person left."
My smile instantly faded, replaced by a frown. "You guys are so boring. I expected a prize."
They ignored me, and kept playing, well the others played except for Anaya and Derek who kept flirting.
I jumped down the bleachers since they were sat close to the ground, walking around the gym when my eyes caught something- someone to be exact.
There sat a boy with a black sweater and a green jersey on top, his emerald green eyes fixed on something ahead. I quickly walked towards him, excitement bubbling up inside of me.
