Lol
So for some reason I've been on Wattpad recently as a 21 year old.... Yeah Im definitely too old to be on Wattpad. Ah the glory days when I was 15 and in high school writing this. Honestly, I can't even read the first chapter through without tweaking out at myself.
Yeah.... so I graduated college with a meteorology major (too much math actually, I thought it would be more like environmental science but it was actually just all Engineering math classes + physics + chemisty, ew). I also joined the military and work at a coffee shop??? Still no boyfriend... I think I wrote this story to cope with that in highschool, but Im actually content in single life, it's been a blessing in the few years of adulthood to figure out where I want to live, who I want to stay in touch with, where I want to go, etc. I've dated two men, and I honestly, don't like dating, I don't like having to plan dates, or awkwardly get to know someone to see if your compatible (I broke up with them both, they were really nice men though, ones I respect a lot, but the thing I think about most in who I would actually end up with is how compabtable the way we resolve conflict is b/c I think thats the thing that actually has to matter between the two of you).
The only men in my life rn is my brother where we rewatched all of JJBA, JJK, Mob Psycho, and Haikyuu together a million times and my Dad, who is my Dad, and spends just as much money as me (thank you for the Jotaro, Dio, and Yuji figures). Yay for Steel Ball Run coming out.
To the one person I randomly saw in the high school lunch room my junior year when the bell rang to go back to class... you'll never know I saw you but that was the best day of my life.
I hope all of y'all live good lifes!! This story is definitely discontinued, sorry!
I really wanted to just unpublish this book and delete my account forever, but I know there's probably some of you out there that actually like this story.... so I'll keep it out for you! One reason I quit writing was because I found myself struggling to view both men and women as individuals and I kept on romanticizing everything that I would get dissapointed when my ideal, fully controlled by me picture of life didn't end up happening. I honestly don't like the fact that I don't know what every single person is thinking at all times, or can control how things turn out or how people react. And I especially don't like the fact that I can react badly and not in some cool, perfect, suave way every single time for every thing. And unlike in a story, sometimes my bad reactions or moments are not plot devices for some cute or cool moment later, they are simply just me being a terrible person. So I need to work on that because it's important to me cause I think it's honorable if even someone else starts or causes something against you in any way, you keep your temper and your maturity about you. Things I need to work on, but I admire it in many others.
To the people that read this 6 years ago, why are you still here?
To those that probably are reading it right now, does Dream still have a fandom? I know there was a whole controversy that crumbled the SMP. RIP.
Don't read too much fanfiction! But I get it as well if you do, I did once as well.
To those that got here cause they were just reading another story: here's how it was supposed to end. I had a bunch of chapters lined up. This is gonna be a terrible summary cause I actually don't know what happened in the last chapter and I can't read through it at all, I will die.
Commentary/Summary of now till end of book:
Many many many of the lines I used to write this story I had to transcribe myself. Subtitles weren't even out really well, so I had to just replay clips over and over again and just type as I listened to it. I usually used a phone and had my wired earbuds in, and then typed on my mom's computer at like 12:00am on a school night cause I usually did my homework at that time too.
Obviously, I would do that till the end of the video. I believe Dream wins in this specific manhunt, so that ending would be the same even with the added characters.
I was going for this vibe that the manhunt was a game/simulation that all of characters were in. It would end up being similar to something like the Maze Runner where they would "get out" of this simulation and realize it all was.
Thats what the chapters with the title that were [bracketed] were for. That was the real world. So I would have a few chapter ending outside of the manhunt part where I settle and actually ending where the simulation gets explained and the cause.
If I remember correctly, Dream and Y/N are supposed to escape, and it's supposed to be some SCP level stuff (backrooms didn't exist really back then, so the closest thing were SCP Foundation videos that I was trying to go for). They would have to clear levels to get out, maybe fight real life horror.
I think I wanted some people to die for that affect, probably Tubbo cause he's an easy character to kill off that gives some sort of emotional affect.
In the end they escape, and then there would be some nuanced ending that would make it seem like they are back in a new manhunt simulation or someone else is, so that you as the reader would get this feeling of "here we go again".
I think I also wanted to make myself, as the author, a character in this, as someone who was apart of the doctors (?) who controlled the simulation, cause I thought that was cool since I was also writing the story so Im basically already in that role of making a simulation.
If you have any questions, I'll try to answer... maybe.
Live well y'all! The young me that wrote all of this hopes you guys were entertained!
"A King may move a man, a father may claim a son, but remember that even when those who move you be Kings, or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God, you cannot say, "But I was told by others to do thus." Or that, "Virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that."
