The boys continue talking without having my concentration. Out of the sudden, I hear a door knock.
"It must be Lexi and Wayne." I comment, pacing towards the door.
I was right, there they are.
"Hi, Kylie! I saw your text before, sorry for not answering. But do you still wanna go?" Lexi asks me.
"Of course!"
"Let's go then, it'll be awesome." Wayne insists.
"I'm just getting my jacket."I pace quickly to the chair I was sitting on, grabbing my red wanna-be Adidas jacket. Becca gave me this...
"Where's River?" Ben asks.
"Oh, ehm, Daniel is taking care of it."
"Oh ok."When I put on my jacket and head for the door, I stop by Ben.
"Bye, hun. Be back soon, don't die of boredom without me." I murmur, pecking his cheek.
"Sure. Bye." he responds.I exit our room, smiling towards the couple.
"So, shall we go?"We wander down some streets. Not exactly fancy stuff, but not bad. I like this. The chatting, going into stores and just, life seems ok now.
"Wait, here, I'm going to order." Wayne tells us.
"You sure? I mean, I can actually pay for myself." I question, feeling the dependent stamp on my skin.
"Completely sure."
"Really? I mean... really?"
"Yes, you're veggie, right?"
"Yeah..."
"That's all I need to know." he calls as he marches away.I sigh.
"It's ok, Kylie. It's basically nothing and you're our friend! Not to mention, a very close one." Lexi insists.
I nod slowly.
"Ok then."That reminds me, I have to go to pee. Wait here."
"Ehm, wait..," I stutter before she hurries away, "Or just... go... ok..."
We're sitting in this outdoor seating for a small kiosk. Nothing big. There are benches with tables spread around. They're all equipped with their own umbrella.
Boring... all alone.... boring...
"Holy shit, Kurtie?"
No. I regret that thought! Let me be as bored as possible, as long as I'm alone again!
"I can't believe it..."
Steps towards me...
Oh god, why?
He sits beside me, staring at me with a grin.
"Hi there... you not gonna say hi to an old friend?" he asks.My lips tense into a line. I turn my head and stare angrily into his russet brown eyes. Those which are so soulless.
"Hi, Charles..." I growl."Oh, hey! Take it easy. By the way, it's not Charles because issues. My name is Keith now."
I breathe heavily just so I can control my anger.
"Go. Away. Keith.""What? Kylie, I'm just here to meet you. I live here now and it's great to see you again. Calm down." he chuckles, putting his disgusting hand on my shoulder.
"Don't touch me." I growl and throw off his hand.
"Ok! Ok!" he croons. With his brown leather jacket and that beret, he doesn't look much different. Maybe a few extra wrinkles. Can't believe he still wears those gloves... ugh...
"Don't you dare touch me again." I warn through gritted teeth.
"Whatever... but you know... I have an idea... I mean, I'm here, you're here. The question is, do you got your stuff?" he inquires, his eyebrow raised and a smirk on his lips.
