Camilla's P. O. V.
"You look absolutely ravishing."
I smile as Louis looks me up and down. "I knew this dress would look good on you. I was right. "
I blush and take his hand. Louis pulls me along, "Come along. The party is starting. Tonight is our first debut as a couple. Are you ready?"
I laugh, "Absolutely. How does your mother feel about this?"
Louis sighs, "She's warming to the idea. When she saw how happy you made me, she calmed down and let me talk to her about it. After tonight, she'll love you. "
I sigh as we stop in front of the double doors, "If you're sure. "
Louis kisses my hand, "Ready?"
I nod as the doors open and we are announced, "Prince Louis of France and His Lady Camilla. "
The people clap and flashes go off as we walk into the ballroom.
Once the party begins again, I look at Louis, "His Lady Camilla?"
Louis smiles, "I thought it was to premature to announce you as princess. So that's what I went with. "
I laugh as he hands me a glass of champagne, "You talk like I've accepted a proposal. "
Louis grins, "You wouldn't have left your husband if you weren't going to marry me. "
Someone yells Louis' name. He looks at me. I smile, "Go. I understand. You are the Prince of France. "
Louis grins and kisses my cheek, walking away. I drink my champagne until a woman walks up to me, "So you're the woman my brother chose to marry. The woman he disobeyed our mother for. "
I look at her in surprise. She holds her hand out, "I'm Beatrice, Louis' sister. "
I shake her hand, "Camilla. It's lovely to meet you. "
Beatrice looks surprised, "I didn't know you were American?"
I nod, "I'm mostly Greek. But I am an American. "
"Greek?"
I nod, "Yes, my parents were born and raised there. They moved to New York before I was born. "
Beatrice nods, "I've always been fascinated by the Greek culture. Do you visit often?"
I smile, "Every summer. We have a villa in Santorini. "
"Santorini?! That's such a beautiful place!"
I smile, "We should go sometime. "
Beatrice smiles, "That would be great. By the way, I love your hair. Did you do it yourself?"
I laugh, "I did. Thank you. In Greece, I learned how to do some really great things with my hair and makeup. "
Beatrice grabs my arm, "You should teach me! Goodness knows France could use a little different style. "
I laugh as I look at all the woman. They're all wearing similar style dresses.
I look at Beatrice, "I have gorgeous dresses from Greece. We should definitely try them out to the next party. "
Beatrice nods, "I think we're going to be great friends. "
I smile, "I think so too!"
