Camilla's P. O. V.

I sit up as Louis walks into my room with a handsome man following behind him, "Who's this?"

Louis sits down next to me, kissing my cheek, "This is Tom. He's here to look after you. "

I tilt my head, "Like a nurse?"

Louis nods his head, "He's very trained in dealing with epilepsy patients. He's the best we have. "

I smile and nod. Louis kisses me, "My train leaves within the hour. I should get going. "

I nod, "You all have a fun time in Scotland. And thank you for inviting my parents and Angela to go with you. I know they'll have such a fun time. "

Louis smiles, "I'm glad they're coming. Now, are you sure you don't want me to stay back with you?"

I shake my head, "No, you go. Have fun. The servants and Tom are here to take care of me. Make fun memories for me. "

Louis grabs my face and kisses me long and hard, "I'll see you in ten days, my love. "

I wave as he walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him. I look at Tom as he sets his things up, "Where are you from, Tom?"

He turns to look at me and I'm taken aback by his beauty, "Ireland, m'lady. "

I grin, "I love your accent. "

Tom smiles, "I love yours. "

I shake my head, "I think American accents are so boring. "

Tom shakes his head, "They're beautiful. "

I smile, "Well thank you. Now, it's a lovely day out, isn't it. Would you accompany me on a walk through the gardens?"

Tom nods, "I better, m'lady. You're still pretty weak. I wouldn't want you to fall and get hurt. "

Tom takes my hand as I stand up, "Thank you. "

Tom wraps his arm around my waist as we walk outside, "I better support you."

I blush at our contact, "Of course. Safety first. "

"Here ya go. Mrs. Bryan fixed you dinner. "

I tilt my head, "What is it?"

Tom sets the tray on my lap, in bed, "Mostly broth with some crackers. "

I groan, "I'm so tired of soup. That's all I've had since I was diagnosed. "

Tom sits down on the edge of my bed, "How are you doing with that, by the way? I know it came as a shock. "

I give him a soft smile, "It's hard. Epilepsy was the last thing I saw ever happening to me. "

Tom sets his hand on mine, "Well, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I know it's my job, but even if it weren't, I would be glad to help you with anything you need. "

I smile and set my other hand on top of his, "Thank you, Tom. That means a lot. You should go down to the kitchen and get your dinner. I'm sure you're hungry. I'll be alright for awhile."

Tom nods and leaves. A few minutes later, he walks back in with a tray full of chicken, mashed potatoes and bread.

He takes my soup away and gives me a plate. I look at Tom, who gives me a smile, "Don't tell anyone. Prince Louis would kill me."

I laugh, "Don't worry. It'll be our secret. Thank you, Tom. "

He smiles and butters his bread, "It's no problem. I could tell you wanted some good food."

I nod, "I've been with you for a day and you already know me."

Tom just shrugs, "That's kind of my job"

We sit there and eat, talking and getting to know each other. It was nice. It was comfortable.

I didn't feel like I was being pitied because of my sickness. I felt normal again.
