Chapter 16

Camilla's P. O. V.

"You and Beatrice seemed to be getting along well. "

I smile as I crawl in bed next to Louis. "We had a lovely evening together. I really like her. "

Louis gathers me in his arms, "Im glad. She's never approved of my previous girlfriends. I'm glad Beatrice has taken a liking to my future wife. "

I look at Louis, "What?"

Louis reaches in his pocket and pulls out a gorgeous engagement ring. I cover my mouth with my hands as Louis smiles.

"I know we haven't known each other long. But I love you. and I can't imagine my life without you. I am to rule France. And you're the only one I want ruling by my side. So, Camilla, will you marry me?"

I laugh as tears stream down my face, "Yes!"

I fling my arms around Louis' neck, squeezing him tight. He pulls away and grabs my hand, sliding the ring on my finger. I grab his face in between my hands and just look at him. I pull him closer and kiss him.

Louis pulls away, "I love you. "

I smile, "And I love you. "

Louis wipes my tears as I laugh, "We'll make the announcement tomorrow. France needs to know. This marriage will be a huge deal to the country. My
getting married shows that it is now my time to rule. "

I nod, "I understand. I need to tell my family and friends. They still think I'm with Tony!"

Louis smiles, "Call them tomorrow and invite them to the palace. I'll send my private jet to pick them up. "

I look at him in shock, "Really?! Thank you!"

Louis grins, "Your welcome, my love. We'll give them a call tomorrow. But for now, we should sleep. I have an
early morning tomorrow. "

I snuggle into his side, "Why?"

Louis kisses my forehead, "I need to attend some meetings. Nothing big."

I sigh, "What shall I do all day?"

Louis sighs, "I know Beatrice was going into town to do some shopping. Maybe you could go with her? I know she would enjoy your company. "

I smile, "That sounds fun. I rather enjoy Beatrice. "

Louis grabs me and gives me a long kiss, "I love you. I'll see you in the morning. Sleep good, love. "

I smile and cuddle into his eyes, shutting my eyes, "And I love you. "
