Chapter 79

Camilla's P. O. V.

"Honey, where are you going?"

I turn around and see my mom walking towards me. I smile at her, "The hospital"

My mom looks worried, "Why? Are you okay?"

I nod, "Yeah!"

"Cami, you've been spending a lot of time at the hospital. "

I shrug as she says, "Can I come with you? "

I nod, "Sure"

We drive to the hospital and walk in, going up to the third floor. I see Jackson standing at the nurses station, writing in a patient's chart.

I walk over, "Maybe you should try reducing that medication"

He looks at me then grins, "Hey! You're here!"

He hugs me, squeezing me tight. I pull away and bite my lip, "Jackson, this is my mom. She wanted to come with me. Mom, this is Jackson Avery. "

Jackson looks at my mom and back at me, surprised. He shakes her hand, "It's lovely to meet you. I've heard a lot about you. "

My mom tilts her head, "You two have been spending that much time together, huh?"

Jackson looks at me, nervous. "Well, it's my lunch break. I know hospital food isn't very good but you two are welcome to join me. "

I nod, "Sure, if you want to mom"

Mom nods too, "Absolutely!"

We go down to the cafeteria and get food then sit down. I look at my mom, "Mom, Jackson is who saved me in the shooting. "

My mom looks at Jackson, "Thank you so much. I can't imagine what I would do if I lost her. "

Jackson smiles at my mom, "Absolutely. "

I grin at Jackson as he smiles back at me. All of the sudden, a girl comes up and sits next to Jackson, kissing him quickly.

I look at her in shock. She gasps when she sees me, "Your Majesty! I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there! "

I give her a small smile, "It's no problem"

Jackson says, "Uh, Camilla, this is Juliette. "

I smile at her, "It's nice to meet you. "

Jackson rubs his neck, looking at me. I bite my lip, "Are you ready to go, mom?"

My mom looks at me, "Sure, sweetie"

I stand up, looking at Jackson, "We're going to go. Have a nice day, you two. "

I start walking away but Jackson jumps up, following me. "Wait- wait up!"

I sigh and stop turning around, "You're with someone. Why didn't you tell me? You at least know that I'm engaged. "

Jackson sighs, grabbing my hand, "I'm sorry. I really am."

I shrug, "It's no big deal. Don't worry. I won't come around here anymore. "

Jackson shakes his head, "No! I want you to come. "

I bite my lip, "If I come, someone will come with me. I won't come by myself anymore. I need to go. Goodbye. "

Then I turn around and follow my mom outside the hospital.

On the way home, I sit in the back of our car looking out the window. My mom sighs, "Honey, what's going on?"

I look at her, shrugging, "I don't know. He saved me. I developed feelings for him. Julian's barely ever around. He's always working. And Jackson was there for me. "

My mom looks at me with a stern look, "You've already cheated on 2 different husbands. I raised you better than that. But I was supportive because you were happier with Louis, then you were happier with Julian. I've seen you. Julian is who you truly love. He's who you need to be with. You need to forget about Jackson, okay? Remember how much you love Julian. "

I nod, "You're right. Thanks mom"
