"Mikoto hold her still. I'll make her regret that she ever tried to steel from you." the guy readied his baseball bat.

"What the hell, are you mad?!" I tried to think of away out of this situation, but this jackass with the baseball bat was making it hard for me. The guy that I guess was called Mikoto smirked.

"She's got fire." he chuckled. "You remind me a little of one of my clans men."

"What are we going to do with her?" the baseball guy looked at me in disgust. Mikoto started down at me.

"How did you use my clan's power without being in my clan?" he ignored the guy's question. I remembered the fire balls that had shot out of my hand.

"I don't know." I admitted. Mikoto thought for a moment. He leaned in towards the baseball guy and whispered something.

"Her?" baseball guy looked at me. He didn't look impressed. He went back to listening. I couldn't catch what Mikoto was saying.

"Ugh!" baseball guy frowned. Was that a good thing? I kept quiet.

"What's your name kid?" Mikoto asked. Should I trust him? I weighed the outcomes of telling the truth or lying. Both seemed to have the same outcome.

"Akene Tachibana." I answered.

"Akene, I want you to meet someone." he said. He put me back down on the sidewalk. The two guys started to walk. This is my chance to run, I thought.

"You coming?" Mikoto stopped to look back at me. I looked at him then behind me.

"Ahh, she's not coming." baseball guy smirked. He sounded hopeful. Mikoto glared at him. The guy continue walking. He was done with Mikoto and me. I picked up my skateboard and tucked it under my arm. I caught up with Mikoto.

"So, where are we going?" I asked. He didn't answer. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

"HOMRA's bar." I read out loud. The sign in the window said CLOSED. Mikoto and baseball guy walked right in. Why a bar? I guess that's what all the cool gangs are going now, I followed. The bar was warm and beautiful. There was windows with purple designed curtains, tall/small around tables, red chair like stools at the bar, the bar was wooden imported from London maybe, a black leathered couch, a glass coffee table and an old jut box. On one of the stools sat a light brown haired guy with brown eyes and a ear piercing. He was strumming a guitar. I closed the door, causing a small bell to ring. The guy looked up from his guitar.

"Hello." he greeted me.

"You sounded pretty good." I completed.

"Thanks, I'm Totskua Tatara." he gave me a warm smile. I've never felt so welcomed. It was a strange feeling, but in a odd way I liked it.

"I'm Akene Tachibana." I introduced myself.

"Deep red, wild orange nice name." he complemented still smiling.

"I think I just found a best friend." I return his smile with a half smile.

"Akene, come over here." Mikoto called to me.

"It was nice talking to you. I hope you get in." Totskua grinned.

"Yeah." I had no idea what he was talking about. I felt so out of my element. He went back to strumming on his guitar. Get in, what?I walked over to Mikoto. He was talking to a man in glasses with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He must be the bartender, he was shining a wine glass.

"This is Akene Tachibana." Mikoto introduced me.

"Izumo Kisanagi." the bartender shook my hand. "What's your plan with her?"

Mikoto whispered in his ear. He nodded.

"Okay, I'm sick of all this whispering shit. Just tell me who you are and why am I here." I was getting pissed off with just standing around being talked about like I was right in front of them. I had some questions and I wanted answered.

"You didn't tell her Mikoto." Izumo shook his head and chuckled. Mikoto shrugged.

"Tell me what?" I asked concerned.

"He's the Red king. The third to be exactly." Izumo nodded towards Mikoto. The first week on the streets I heard the older homeless people talking about a Red king, but I never believed them. But what would a king want to do with a misfit homeless kid?

"Mikoto?" a little girl with white hair and red eyes came out of the back room.

"Anna meet Akene." Mikoto said. She was so cute in her pretty dress. She took out a red marble. She held it up to her eye and study me.
What is she doing, I stood still. She lowered her marble. She looked at Mikoto and nodded.

"That's a relief." Izumo sighed.

"What's a relief?" I asked.

"I'm going to give you a choice." Mikoto asked ignoring my question. "Choose wisely and you might get to see the light of the next day."
