guys ur comments were A+++

Caleb and I haven't been on good terms since the lunch thing with Luke. And speaking of which, Luke and I haven't talked since I went to his apartment. I knew that it was the right thing to stay away from him, but I didn't want to lose him again. This time for good.

I was confused as hell. I love Caleb, but a part of me thinks that I still love Luke deep down. I wasn't sure if it was because he was the first love that you kind of always love, or I actually never stopping loving him in the first place. All I know is, I need to figure out my feelings before I get married in October.

The sound of my boss's voice was what pulled me out of my trance. I looked over at her from my desk as she walked towards me, "Rebecca, I have a new listing for you to show today at 12:30." She informed me. I glanced down at my digital clock sitting across from me. It read 11:28.

I smiled up at her as she handed me the packet of papers holding the information of the listing, "I'll get right on that, Amelia." I told her while looking through the packet. Looks like an apartment just down the street from here. I listened to the sound of her heels clicking as she walked away saying, "Thanks."

With only an hour to get to the apartment, I grabbed my purse and left. I stopped at the store to buy some flowers and a vase to place in the foyer of the apartment to make the place look more inviting. Finally arriving at the apartment, I opened up the door and placed the flowers down on the kitchen counter.

I took a look around, and the place was amazing. It was all updated and clean so there's no doubt that this place would sell in no time. Also, the price wasn't half bad.

After giving myself a tour of the place, I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw that Caleb was calling me. Knowing all too well that I would just be making matters worse for myself by ignoring him, I answered his call, "Hey."

"Hi, honey. I stopped by your office, and you weren't there. I just wanted to come by to see you on my break." Caleb's soft voice sounded on the other line.

"I'm at a new listing down the street. It's really nice so I think we'll have some traffic today." I told him. I could almost hear him smiling on the other line, "That's great! What's the address?" He asked. I quickly flipped through the packet to recall the exact location and told him.

"Oh that's a good location. I'm sure you'll be able to get a few offers today, babe."

"Listen, Caleb. I have to go, okay?" I tried to end the call. Things just weren't where I wanted them to be, and this awkward phone call was making things worse. "Okay, I love you." He said.

I hung up after mumbling a quiet 'you too' and shoved my phone back into my pocket.

x.x.x

My prediction was totally wrong; literally nobody showed up for the first hour I was here for. It was insanely boring. And by 'insanely' I mean: I just stared at the wall for an hour straight. When I heard the doorknob jiggle, I almost flew up into the air from excitement.

Thank god someone is here.

I got my flyers ready and the door opened.

What I saw was something I did not expect to see.

"Luke?"

"Freshman? What are you doing here? You moving out of Dr. Dreamy's house?" He questioned while shutting the door behind him.

I stood there dumbfounded in total disbelief that he would have the audacity to show up at one of my listings, "What? No, I'm showing this listing to potential buyers. It's sort of my job." I told him. I watched him as he furrowed his eyebrows, "What the hell, you're a real estate agent?" He questioned.

I nodded, "Yeah..."

"Then I'm glad I decided to come here. I've seen about three apartments in the area, and from what I can tell," he looked around and then his eyes locked onto mine, "this one is my favorite so far."

"You're moving?" I asked as he walked around to get a better look at the place. I followed him as he replied, "Yeah, the place I'm in now has bad memories. I want a fresh start."

I smiled at his words, "That's good, Luke. Really good."

"One bedroom?" He asked while turning around in his heel to walk backwards, but talk to me face to face. I nodded, "One bedroom, two bathroom." I informed him. He turned back around, and I showed him the two bathrooms and then the bedroom.

Luke being Luke, the first thing he did upon entering the bedroom was swan dive onto the bed. I watched him while laughing as he instantly made himself comfortable, "Yup, I could see myself living here." He spoke up to me. I smiled, "It's a nice place. And you're the only one who showed up for open house today." I giggled.

"I love hearing you laugh." He commented while sitting up. I felt my cheeks begin to flush like a damn school girl talking to her crush back in grade school. He scooted down to the edge of the bed where I was standing and draped his legs over. I was standing in between his legs, but I wasn't close enough to make things weird.

"I haven't laughed in a few days, so thanks. I needed a good laugh."

He stood up and stepped closer to me making me step back out of habit, "What are you doing with a guy like Caleb anyways?" He asked totally bombarding me with that type of question. Not to mention this was the first time he actually addressed Caleb by his first name to me.

"He took care of me when I got out of college." I told him.

"So you feel like you owe him?"

"What? No, I love him."

"You loved me too, remember?" He stepped closer again.

"Luke, you're making this really hard."

"Tell me you don't love me anymore, and I'll leave you alone. You can marry your fiancé and live your life." He said sternly.

"I can't."

Suddenly the sound of the front door opening echoed through the apartment. I quickly spun around to leave the room to greet the next clients that decided to show up at the worst time. Luke was hot on my trail.

The two of us emerged from the hallway, and my heart fell right into my stomach once I realized who it was, "Caleb."

Caleb's face was beat red once he saw who I was with. There was nothing I could do or say to calm him down, but lord knows I tried my best. He quickly lunged at Luke, "You've got to be joking."

"Caleb, this seriously isn't what it looks like." I tried jumping in before it was too late.

Caleb turned to me as I tried to keep him from attacking Luke, "Oh really? Because it looks like you're coming out of a bedroom with your ex!" He shouted. As if other people also had the worst timing, clients started to show up to witness this whole shebang go down.

"Dude, chill-" Luke managed to say before Caleb's fist collided with Luke's nose. It wasn't hard enough for Luke's nose to break, but still there was blood.

"Caleb, stop it!" I yelled and pried him off of Luke.

"Stay the hell away from her, you hear?!" Caleb pointed at Luke who was holding his nose in pain. I'm surprised Luke didn't try to go after Caleb. I was happy he didn't because I wasn't sure if I could handle a full blown brawl in my open house.

"Caleb, just go." I demanded.

Caleb gave me a strange look followed by his puppy dog eyes until he finally left. Leaving me to deal with the mess he just caused.

weird ending, BUT WHO PREDICTED THE LUKE/CALEB FIGHT???? next chap will make u happy i just know it
