Author's POV

London welcomed them with a quiet, chilly night.

By the time Adved and Adrija reached their new home, it was already late.

The house Adved had bought for them stood quietly under the warm streetlights. It was beautiful modern yet cosy, with large windows, warm wooden interiors and enough space for the two of them to finally call it home.

Adrija stepped inside and looked around sleepily.

"So... this is ours?"

Adved smiled.

"Ours."

She smiled back, but before she could explore anything, she yawned.

The journey had completely exhausted them.

Neither of them even bothered with dinner.

They changed into comfortable clothes, crawled into bed and fell asleep almost immediately, wrapped in each other's arms.

The Next Morning

They woke up much later than usual.

Sunlight streamed through the enormous bedroom windows, falling softly across the white sheets.

Adrija opened her eyes and looked around.

For a few seconds, she didn't recognize the room.

Then she remembered.

London.

Their new house.

Their new beginning.

She smiled.

Adved was still sleeping beside her.

She quietly turned toward him.

"Good morning, darling."

He barely opened his eyes.

"Five more minutes..."

She laughed.

"It's almost noon."

His eyes immediately opened.

"What?"

She burst out laughing.

"You should have seen your face."

He pulled her closer.

"You woke me up just to scare me?"

"You deserved it."

He smiled sleepily and kissed her forehead.

There was something different about that morning.

No family downstairs.

No wedding rituals.

No relatives.

No travelling.

Just them.

Their home.

Their life.

Adved looked around the room and smiled.

"Feels strange."

"Good strange?"

"Very good strange."

Adrija rested her head against his shoulder.
