Steve was the first to make it to the temple, he waited a second for Thor to catch up before pulling open the door and rushing inside. Clint, Natasha followed shortly behind, I stood in the door way not sure whether I should join the team inside or be ready to run.

Inside the temple was dark and cold, and smelled damp. At the far end stood a massive statue of a Frost Giant. His eyes glowed and eerie red and couldn't help but feel intrigued by it. Beneath the statue stood Loki and another Frost Giant.

"Well brother, took you long enough." Sneered Loki, turning towards the group. His eyes traced the group, sizing everyone up. His eyes landed on me, lingering for a moment. I threw a wink at him, before his eyes continued on. I looked at the group as they all positioned in their fighting stance.

"Lets get this over with Loki." Growled Thor. Loki laughed.

"Yes Thor, lets." Loki said with confidence.

I heard footsteps from behind and turned just in time to see a big, blue giant. An arm swung out and threw towards the wall. My back erupted in pain as it hit the wall and my vision went blurry for a moment. Standing up, I watched the fight break out before my eyes.

The team worked together seamlessly, each hit was aimed with strength and precision. Several Frost Giants already lay on the ground, silent and still. I snapped out of my day dream as a giant came rushing towards me, I ran towards it and slid under his legs, cutting the inside of his thigh deep with my sword. The giant feel to his knees and I jumped onto his back, embedding the sword deep into his neck.

The giant collapsed to the ground and I looked up from his dead body to see Loki nodding his head in approval, I flashed him a sly smile. I turned as another Frost Giant approached me, and in seconds he lay among the pile of bodies. I backed up and bumped into Steve, we stood back to back, eyeing of the competition.

"You know," the captain started breathlessly. "You're actually not a bad fighter."

I smirked. "Thanks."

"If we get out of this alive, you should join S.H.E.I.L.D. You would do a lot more good working with us than working with someone like Loki." He huffed as he threw his shield at a frost giant knocking him to his feet and catching the rebounding shield. I was caught completely by surprise. Not by a frost giant, but by his words.

"Wait what?" I said, but Steve had already run off to fight.

I got knocked off my feet by a giant arm that swung with an unstoppable force. I flew across the room and felt myself knock over something. I rolled off the object and saw I had taken down Loki.

"Oh, sorry!" I exclaimed, as I held out my hand to help him up. He grabbed my hand and got to his feet, we stood for a moment.

In that split second, both of us completely forgot about the fight that was still continuing around us. A bang from the other side of the room made me jump out of the trance and take a step away from Loki. I watched as Thor leaned against the massive door, stopping any more frost giants from entering. Bodies littered the floor including the Frost Giant leader, yet all the S.H.E.I.L.D team still stood strong.

"The fights over Loki."  Yelled Steve. Loki laughed.

"I've come to far to be stopped by you again. I'm going to win this time." He sneered back. Steve's eyes flicked to me, I could sense that he wanted me to do something to stop Loki. But I remained still. Loki must have seen Steve's expression and he laughed his malevolent laugh.

"You think she's going to stop me?" he laughed again. "Where do you think her loyalties lie?"

At that moment, all eyes were on me. I opened and closed my mouth several times, completely lost for words. I glanced between the two teams.

I couldn't help but be drawn to Loki, his mischief and malice was something I both loved and hated. But a place to belong was something I had always wished for, a team. I was torn.

"Skadi" said Steve slowly. "You don't have to do this. Help us and we promise we will help you find you're parents." There was a moment of silence, as I thought.

"Enough of this!" Yelled Loki. The Casket appeared in his hands out of nowhere. He aimed it at the team and shot a blast of magic, knocking them all to the ground. The he turned and faced the back wall, blowing a hole in it. Grabbing my hand he dragged me towards the hole and jumped. I screamed as I fell after him and waited to make contact with the ground.
