As the morning came, so did the sudden realization of how sore my body was. Wincing in pain, I could feel every bruise finding its way onto a rock or stick as I sat up and yawned. Loki and Steve slept soundly on either side of me, a little too close if you ask me.

Moving as quietly as possible, I stood up and crept away from the two men who, in sync, rolled over onto the spot where I had been laying and were now, almost, face to face. I giggled to myself as I turned away and watched the sunlight slowly peak over the horizon. The gold light spilled onto the village and forest. Stirring all sorts of creatures from their slumber. Breathing in the peace, I pulled my hair into a high ponytail. Turning back to face the men, I watched the light land on their faces, pulling them from their shut-eye. It took a moment before they realized how close they had gotten and the quickly sat up, facing opposite directions. I laughed lightly before walking over and crouching beside them.

"Morning boys, you ready to go?" I asked, trying to make my voice as chirpy and annoying as possible. They both glared at me with dark circles under their eyes. "Come on, the quicker we get going, the quicker we can get to Asgard and then back to earth. SO let's move." I ordered.

Neither of them shifted a muscle.

"Now!" I almost shouted. Within a second they were on their feet and walking. I smiled to myself.

Maybe I can be intimidating...

We made it to the bottom of the mountain with minimal complaining. The descent was ridiculously easier than the ascent. Taking a break at a small creek, we drank and washed for a few minutes. Crouching beside the flowing water, I splashed water on my face and tried to rub the drowsiness from my eyes. None of us spoke, but a small nod from Steve told me it was time to continue on. By mid morning we had reached the outskirts of the village. We gathered just out of sight to sort out the final details of our plan.

"Give me several minutes to infiltrate the guards then you two walk over the that building over there." He said, pointing out from our hiding place to the tallest building in the center of the town. "They will tell you that they will organize for Hiemdall to transport you to Asgard and they will get a guard to escort you, which is where I come in. Understand?" He asked.

We both nodded and he seemed satisfied. Creeping from our hiding spot, Steve and I watched Loki change into a guard with golden armour before strode though town, looking as confident as ever.

"Do you think this will work?" I whispered to Steve who stood with tension in his shoulders. His eyes remained on the town, even though Loki had already disappeared. He sighed.

"I want to get back to Earth, but working with a criminal isn't how I imagined it would go." He replied, his voice rather quiet.

"That didn't really answer my question, but, I think he's going to get caught and so are we." I admitted.

"Well last time it was only you that got caught." He sighed. "I think when it really comes down to it, Loki will save himself and leave us to take the blame."

I didn't reply. He was probably right. We stood for a few minutes in silence before I nudged his shoulder.

"Well let's get this over with then." I said before strolling out from our hiding spot and entering the village. Steve followed beside me, his shoulders back but his eyes down. I glanced at the few people who were wandering around the village, they all stopped and stared at us. I guess we must have been a strange sight. Me in my grey pajamas and black coat and boots, and Steve in his Captain America suit wouldn't be something these people would see everyday.
